Si I've been here in Jerusalem over a week now... It's so wonderful here! I actually just got home from The Wall to participate in the welcoming of the Shabbat and it was so beautiful! Last week wasn't very eventful because the weather was bad but this week was absolutely PACKED! I added my little folded up prayer to the hundreds stuffed in every tiny crack and prayed and pondered and it was wonderful. I even got to do a little singing and dancing with the young girls there! So fun. I've done so much sight-seeing in this week and I haven't even scratched the surface of this city! The merchants all love me for my blonde hair and it's really fun cuz I get free stuff all over the place because they love my hair ... read more

Well, I like Lagos. And I like my sister Amy. I can´t belive I ever wanted to go home early! I would have missed out on soo much! My sister Amy and I are very very similar in some ways, but also very different in others, so we´ve both been learning a lot from each other, it´s been seriously amazing! She´s like me in ten years, so I can see the direction that I´m headed, ya know? Since we´ve been here we have basically just been lounging on the beach, getting tan, shopping in the street markets, and eating at fantastic little restaurants. Sound like fun? You have no idea. **Sorry no pictures yet! I'll post some soon :)** Wow, what a fun day! I didn't go to bed last night until around 3:00 in the morning GMT and was woken up this morning at 7:30, so I am pretty tired now..... But we woke up at 7:30 so we could get ready and make it to church downtown at 9:30. It was such a nice service with people from all over the world and tons of tourists, too. Then we went over to Speaker's Corner in Hyde Park, and it was freaking awesome. It's this corner in the park where seriously whoever wants to can get up on a stool or on the fence or whatever and just preach. Well Amy and I woke up from our naps and looked at the clock to discover that our light little naps had turned into serious three-hour ones! When we woke up, Misha and Stewart (my sister and brother-in-law) had arrived at the house, too, and we were all starving and itching to check out the city. So we went and grabbed the tube (I lost my ticket so I had to buy another one! ugh) and got off and stopped at a little pub where I had the most amazing chicken sandwich of my life and lukewarm water (yuck!). Then we walked around and found this little market in an old church courtyard (I forget which one) and shopped. I bought two Egyptian papyri from this adorable little Egyptian man. Wow, it's been a crazy day! It started off at 5:00 this morning, waking up with the love of my life next to me for the last time in two years because he leaves to serve a mission while I'm in Europe. We finished up my packing and loaded all my luggage in the car and he drove me to the airport. It was a very bittersweet goodbye. I was, of course, balling my eyes out, but it was still a beautiful goodbye. We hugged and kissed and cried together until I absolutely had to leave, then I went through the security line.
