(this should come complete with 14 photos and full text, if it doesn't clear you cookies, pretty please!) This blog is being sent from Singapore with a few exclamation marks. Firstly, that I'm in my third continent of the trip. Secondly, I've been travelling for 9 months. Thirdly, my word, it's hot here and fourthly, it's 7 weeks till Xmas and yes, the Xmas decorations are up here too. One thing that has become clear is that I refuse to call this the last chapter of my trip! Instead it's a revival of the first and it shares a very strong determination for this not to be the end. Packing up my tent and watching it being mutilated by my friend Lillie, was a strong reminder that I was back to living out of one bag

It's a beautiful beach resort set in the tropics, a popular destination for weddings and a holiday destination for a few famous faces - not that I saw any mind you. It's also where Steve Irwin experienced his unfortunate encounter with a Stingray and a few kilometres further North of Port Douglas is where they film Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here. Apart from all that, it became my beautiful home for two months. I stayed in an amazing hostel, Dougies Backpackers, where I purchased a little two man tent and found a cosy spot in the campsite. A great way to save some money and to get you out of

I treated myself to a massage, a pedicure, Sushi, and millions of hot showers. After a few days re-climatizing in Sydney I headed down to Melbourne to meet Danielle! I was there a day early and, thank the lord, was in time for Neighbours night where I met the one and only Karl Kennedy. I even got a hug and a photo :O) The next day Dan arrived at the airport and our Australian adventure was about to begin. We crammed a lot into a few weeks so I'll give you the overview! Melbourne Here we started with the Neighbours tour, seeing Karl Kennedy's

I spent two days in Auckland freeeeeeeeeezing my bum off but enjoying a view fromt the Sky Tower, a harbour boat trip and a boat trip to a nearby town Davenport. Then I headed down to Christchurch where I froze my bum off a bit more before heading to Sydney. It was a short but sweet trip stay in New Zealand (as I overstayed my welcome in South America). But I'll be back!

I spent a final week in Santiago, Chile, where I met up with Lauren who I met in my first week travelling and finally...... meeting the first person from Romford! There was always going to be one. I had a great last week in Santiago, visiting art museums, going up the cable car to the look out point, enjoying some normalish food and getting food poisoning and celebrating the end to my South America journey with a selection of beers and dance clubs. On 3rd August I said goodbye and headed to Auckland, New Zealand.

That afternoon we headed to the bus station in a cab driven my a man wearing a rather fetching all in one Addisdas tracksuit. We were just about to comment when he splurted out some amazing English. Phew! We jumped on an overnight bus to Sucre, the real capital of Bolivia, where Nic and I would be enrolling in Spanish school for the last time. We arrived early the next morning and after a snooze headed out to find a suitable Spanish school and some voluntary work teaching English. Thankfully we found both. Spanish school from 8.30am until 12.30pm and teaching English to 10-12 year olds in the afternoons. Classes started the next

Soon, it continued with the alphabet game and realising that we really didn´t know many countries beginning with O! Anyway, we were due to cross the border on this trip sdo sure enough, after an hour or so we got off for the first stop, stamped ourselves out of Peru and walked across the bridge to Bolivia. Then we embarked the same bus again until Cochabamba, the Bolivian side of Lake Titicaca where we had just enough time to find a cash point and to witness a lady peeing in the street. Then, half hour later we jumped on another bus

The first few hours we managed to catch up on some sleep and arrived in Puno mid afternoon, catching a cab to our hostel. It was freeeeeeeeeeezing! We were warned it would be a bit chilly but seriously, leggings, trousers, vests, T-Shirts, jumpers, hats and scarves and we were still cold. Again, the town was at about 3800m so that would explain it. No sooner had we arrived at our hostal, a well placed tour lady showed up with a 2 day tour to the Lake, including an overnight stay. It sounded perfect, so after an evening of copious tea drinking and seeing how many pairs

By this point I had realised that the padlock on my backpack was well and truly broken and there would be a few issues of accessing clothes. So our little cab driver (by the way, they´re all very little over here) kindly found me somewhere to break my padlock in a middle of a busy market street. We did have a few moments where we thought we might be victims of some kind of "con" so we kept watchful eyes on our backpacks. Luckily for us the little kind man really was lovely. Arriving into Cusco, we met Amy (a friend from Santa Martha) and Nic (who I had met in Quito) as the four of us pretty much had the same plans

We found a bus to Piura, our first stop in Peru leaving that night at 11pm. We successfully wasted a day in Loja by drinking a few drinks very slowly, emailing and sorting out the all important bus snacks. We arrived at the terminal, a little scarily searched for weapons, drugs etc before getting on the bus and then headed off. The bus stopped at the Ecuador / Peru border for us, where we were to get stamped out on one side, walk across the bridge and get stamped into Peru. However, the guards computer had different ideas and unfortunately
