Doing Justice Kristen,
With your keen insight into the ways of children, and your values of experience and sharing, you always do more than mere "justice" to your blogs. I eagerly read each one and look forward to more. Thanks so much for sharing.
Love,

This sounds amazing! All the animals and the volunteers...
I wonder how reading skills are in kids who don't start until 7 or 8? And what do they do throughout first grade? Fascinating way to structure things.
My goat-loving Peacock Kristen,
Everytime I read your blogs, I know why I love you so much. Your values are so wonderful and your comments so welcome. Yesterday was my birthday and one of the blessings of my 80 years and 1 day, is to know you. God bless you.

next step I'll bet those kiddos are going to miss you big time! I could easily see you in a primary class. You have a ton of energy and positive attitude.
Your next job sounds right up my ally. Got your Birkenstocks? :) sounds like fun.
Wonderful, wonderful Kristen, it is so wonderful to hear you talk about you students and how you relate to them. You love them in the fullest sense of the word. I am so proud to be able to say that I know you. That part about wondering who they will be as they mature, if they mature, was so insightful. You are a blessing to all of us.
a special place in heaven I have always thought that Kindergarten teachers would have a special place in heaven. You have confirmed my feelings. I have done some "Mothers Helper" work in first grade and seen the results that you mention. God bless you, Kristen. I also thoroughly enjoyed the experiment you devised for homework for the group. What a great idea.
We all love you and are proud to know you. Art
who you are: Kristen, you are right, it is because of who you are that you are doing this work at 61st Street school. What a thrill for you and for them. Just think, they are experiencing the fact that somebody cares about them. And that "somebody" is absolutely terrific. God bless you.

"my camp" Kristen,
My heart did a bit of a flippy-flop when I read you reference to "my camp" across the country. Skye Farm is "my camp" to so many of us. Glad to hear your news, wonderful just to share with you and know things are well with you. I am doing fine and look forward to reading your blogs. Thanks again for being a part of our lives.

new team Kristen, not surprised that your team mates are future teachers, camp counselors, etc. Those are the type of persons who would volunteer to do what you are doing. And I am not surprised that you have made the adjustment to a new team. That is who you are! God bless you, and thanks for the blog.
Right On!! Kristen,
All of the concerns you have are so normal, so "right on" I would say in the language of generations ago. You are thinking about relationships more than anything else and that is terrific. I am glad to hear that you are doing so well. You know how proud I am to know you and to be included in your blogs. Even the hat, (which is quite fetching) and the uniform cannot hide the smile. I keep you in my prayers and know that you are part of the community of hope that we all have for the future. God bless you.
Crazy that a high school friend is there! Who is it?
Airport people can be power-tripping and incompetant but there's no excuse to hold your stuff hostage in order to tell you something that might not even be true. Sure, he can't hold the plane back but he also CAN'T KNOW IT HASN'T BEEN DELAYED.
I had one guy tell me I didn't need to check in because I'd checked in online, so I got out of the line and asked him where I put my duffle bag. He said 'oh you'll need to check that' like I'M the idiot, brought me to this other line, half way through came back and told me I was in the wrong line like it was MY mistake, and put me at the end of this other line. I wanted to scream.
Glad you made it! Must be so cool to see people from all these different places. Can't wait for pictures!

Hilarious. Love the "roosters don't want to be held." Hooray for Utah Camp Thorpe! I'm jealous. Try to post as many quotes as you can?
