Sacramento to South San Francisco

Preparation for my trip to Italy ended with some last minute cleaning of my home, a quick pat-goodbye to my cat, and a call to a local taxi service. I recommend Jay's for Sacramento taxi service, by the way. I decided to take the ~2 hour Capital Corridor Amtrak down to Richmond, CA, where I caught the Millbrae BART line down to South San Francisco, where my first cousins (once-removed) Alicia and Katie were waiting to pick me up, treat me to a Greek dinner, and put me up for the night.

The train ride was great, and didn't feel like it took even half the two hours it was supposed to. I recommend it as an alternative to driving down to the Bay.
