Home time tomorrow so this is our last blog. We've actually been to New York twice because we came here for 4 nights before Niagara. It's a really great city. So much to do and see. Another heat wave to top it off too. So after 18 flights 3 long train journey's and endless buses subways and taxis we're on our way home. See you all very soon. The End http://www.travelblog.org/North-America/United-States/New-York/New-York/Manhattan/blog-287775.html Niagara Falls Hello everyone. This was one our last places to visit so we thought we'd make it somewhere a bit different and decided on Niagara Falls. Out of everywhere we've been this was probably the best spectacle of the lot. It's impossible to explain how big and powerful the falls are. Even up to about half a mile away it felt like it was raining because there's so much mist coming up from the river. We http://www.travelblog.org/North-America/Canada/Ontario/Niagara-Falls/blog-287779.html Washington DC The capital of the USA. Another 2 flights 2 trains and a bus to get here but it has definitely been worth it. Loads of famous buildings statues and monuments to see and the weather has been red hot The warmest place we've been so far. All the main sites are within a mile or two of each other so it wasn't too bad walking around in the heat. It feels a bit like London here but it's probably becau http://www.travelblog.org/North-America/United-States/District-of-Columbia/Washington/blog-284234.html Chicago We arrived in the windy city on Saturday night. We had to book a hotel outside the city centre because Chicago is so expensive. Over 300 a night so something not much better than Blackpool in the main bit Although it was out of town it was still only 25 minutes on the train so it wasn't too bad. When we got up to the room it was all worth the extra daily travel. See the pics for the reason why http://www.travelblog.org/North-America/United-States/Illinois/Chicago/blog-283285.html Disneyworld Orlando Another week another destination. This time Disneyworld Florida. We thought we needed a bit of change from the usual things wersquove been doing so what better place than here. It took 3 flights to get here from Vegas. It should have been 2 but we flew into stormy weather trying to land in Orlando so had to go to Tampa for refuelling. After 20 minutes we went back to Orlando where we tried t http://www.travelblog.org/North-America/United-States/Florida/Orlando/blog-283134.html Las Vegas Hello again. We've spent the last 4 nights in Las Vegas and we both love it. It's so much more than just gambling. The hotels are huge Most of the main ones are like towns with hundreds of thousands of people in them. They've all go about 10 bars and restaurants huge casinos and gambling halls swimming pools shows zoos nightclubs and rollercoaster's all under one roof. We stayed at the Strat http://www.travelblog.org/North-America/United-States/Nevada/Las-Vegas/blog-279651.html Hollywood Los Angeles Us again. We've spent the last 5 days in Hollywood. The weather is still red hot. 39 degrees all week. It's a great city but very dangerous. We had to come back to the hotel before dark because the streets can be very dodgy at night even though we stopped in Beverly Hills. We haven't seen any famous people we know but did see someone getting out of a car with loads of paparazzi swarming around her http://www.travelblog.org/North-America/United-States/California/Los-Angeles/Hollywood/blog-278346.html San Francisco Hello again. After our marathon 20 hours travelling we've spent 4 days here at San Francisco. It's supposed to be the city that everyone wants to live in and we can see why. The weather is great. Clear blue skies with a really cool breeze from the bay. It's such a friendly city as well. The main pier area is Fishermans Wharf. It's got loads of nice restaurants and bars. We've seen loads of funny s http://www.travelblog.org/North-America/United-States/California/San-Francisco/North-Beach/blog-276437.html Perhentian Islands Hello again everyone. Really starting to get the hang of the blog now. We've just arrived in Kuala Lumpur airport again after 3 nights on kecil Island one of the 2 Perhentian Islands. We stayed at the Senja Bay Resort. The place was breathtaking. It was like a paradise Island. No roads just 3 or 4 boats coming onto the beach everyday with supplies. The water was crystal clear with tropical fish http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/Malaysia/Terengganu/Perhentian-Kecil/blog-274731.html Kuala Lumpur Hello everyone. This is our 5th night here. We've managed to see pretty much everything Kuala Lumpur has to offer. The Petronas Tower is fantastic. The biggest twin towers in the world. It's quite a strange place. It's like a mixture of Thailand and the Middle East. It's much more Muslim than we thought. Our hotel isn't too bad and we've been eating in Nando's Weather's still red hot so we're rea http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/Malaysia/Wilayah-Persekutuan/Kuala-Lumpur/blog-273335.html Pattaya We arrived in Pattaya on the 14th to be greeted to another 5 days of fun and games with water pistol. Joy. We literally stayed in and around the hotel because we had a pool and the weather was good. The internet was dear at the hotel and we daren't take the laptop out of so we didn't do much apart from soak up the sun. Finally got out of the complex on the 19th to have a look around. It was like w http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/Thailand/Central-Thailand/Pattaya/blog-270506.html Bangkok Thailand Capital City. Got here on 11th April for 4 nights quite late on so decided to go down Khao San road to sample some street food and then went to bed before a full days sightseeing. What a mistake. We'd managed to come on the 1st day of Songkran Thai New Year All their celebrations consisted of was lining every street in Thailand and throwing gallons of water and paste on anyone or any http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/Thailand/Central-Thailand/Bangkok/blog-270500.html Macau Finally got round to another few blogs After Hong Kong we travelled by ferry to Macau for the night. Not too much here to see but we were only there for about 16 hours. It's asia version of Las Vegas apparently. http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/Macau/Macau/blog-270489.html Hong Kong Hong Kong. What a place. We stayed the 1st 2 nights in a hostel called New Kowloon. A good location but it was disgusting. Stig of the dumps would have asked for his money back It's quite dear here so we decided to go a bit more up market and moved over the river to Hong Kong Island to get the best out of Hong Kong. What a fantastic place. It's got beaches shopping views and sights. The weather http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/Hong-Kong/Hong-Kong-Island/Wan-Chai/blog-264346.html Beijing Hello everyone.Sorry it's taken so long to do. We've had trouble uploading photos but hopefully we got it sorted now. Beijing was our 1st stop. It was much colder than expected. It snowed when we went to the Great Wall There was plenty of old historical places to visit but not much else. We stayed for a week but that was enough. We left Bejing last Wednesday by train. We decided not to bother wit http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/China/Beijing/blog-263421.html
