nice climb!
Hey Vicki! What an amazing time you are having! Too bad about the broken heart - I've been there too. This post might be enough to convince Micah to go to France with me! He doesn't think he'd like it but what does he know, eh? :)

The other blonde
He he.. Yep, no wonder why blondes have more fun ;-D Here is one more: There is a plaque fixed to a statue on Charles Bridge, depicting a man being thrown off the bridge. Touching the statue is a Prague ritual. It is supposed to bring good luck and to ensure that you return to Prague soon. Here you are supposed to touch the cross and the stars with your left hand and make a wish. Don't think we touched it with our left hand... Did we?? Wonder if we will ever return to Prague!

vanilla slice!
Glad to hear you are so much enjoying life, still!! You were so much in our 'presence' this last week, as I made THE VANILLA SLICE for dessert at a potluck supper!!! Managed to save a piece to bring home for Pamela so she could really 'celebrate' with you!!! Don't forget, if you get to Luxembourg, to look up my other sister, you would so much enjoy her. Good luck in your further travels. Mother E

Blondes have so much fun
Hey Vic, great to hear about your blondie trip to Prague - I would have fitted right in ;) The thing with the bridge was hilarious, ha ha. Great stuff to remember for the rest of your days, but when you finally got to the Charles brigde I bet you really looked at it so well that you will never forget it (due to this funny incident) -which is worth it, right? I missed the photos of you Botel??? Have fun in France too and check out the hot riders for me ;) Line

Don't shatter my dreams
I was disappointed to see in your blog that "apparantly" American life is not like 90210 and the OC where all females are gorgeous, and the frat parties flow like wine. As I am yet to do a decent stint in the states please refrain from shattering my dreams!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey now!
The Alaskan wilderness isn't so bad! Glad to have met you on such an epic advenutre. It's a shame you didn't get a chance to see the bears and more obese Californians in track suits getting off the cruise ships and strutting around our state like they own the place! Safe journeys...

Closer to the time lets formulate a plan! Take care and keep the stories/thoughts rolling! xx

Exploring the wilderness!
Nice one Vicki, always good to find things out about yourself and if you can do that whilst exploring amazing parts of the world then that's even better. Alaska sounded cold, interesting and populated by freaky mullet people, glad you came through it safely. I'm off to Dunedin for 7 weeks early tomorow so will probably experience much the same (kidding...I hope!) I look forward to the next installment of Vickis amazing journey! Craig x

Thanks for the inspiration
Hi Vic, Just wanted to let you know how much inspiration your messages have for those of us in our comfort zones at home!! You are right about getting to the best things through a bit of struggle. The trick is, that when we see the struggle coming we get so good at artfully avoiding it that we miss all the good that comes as a result of facing the fear!!!

Alaska
Wow what an experience and to see the Northern Lights too. All that adrenalin from sheer fear to extreme delight and to think people pay for rushes like that, eg sky dives and bungy jumps. It's funny but I sensed something was up when the last email you sent was describing the precarious journey you had to make and then not hearing from you for a while. Glad you survived though :) sounds like Alaskan men could do with a dose of Queer Eye for the Straight Guy. Seattle will probably feel like Christchurch after all that excitement. I remember that it has lots of cool old buildings. Lisa
