Sorry its taken so long...no, we havent dropped off the face of the planet. It has taken us a long time to find somewhere that has the internet!!! No internet cafes anywhere!!! So since we last wrote, we have been driving from Denver down to Florida to drop a car off(through Auto drive-away). The car is free, we just paid for gas. Eight states in four days, 2200 miles. John-Paul came to stay for 2 weeks in Aspen before we left. We know you had a wonderful time and we loved having you come and stay. AMS Dad came for the last few days. Had a wonderful time skiing with you - and don't blame the skis for not keeping up with me Dad...Thankyou so much to Doreen for sorting out accomodation for these two highly organised kiwi girls. James our friend that we meet on a snow camp in New Zealand came to visit us for a few days....it was sooo much fun!! We had a lot of snow the previous days and on the first day the weather was great so we decided to tackle the bowl!! Hey all... Last week on our days off 8 of us hired a big 4WD and headed to telluride... awsome time!! the mountain was massive but it was a bit icey, still we had the time of our lives!!! on the drive there and back we had to go threw this pass which was amazing cause we saw all these deer and elk. some even crossed over the road in front of us so we had to take things pretty slowly. Hi everyone, Since we wrote last...we have moved into the Aspen trailer park. The day after we moved in we had Debbie's friends from North Carolina come to visit. It was an actioned packed 3 days. Debbie has been given the opportunity to organise the end of year party for all the employees of highlands which will be a challange but she is really looking foward to it! Yesterday 8 of us (Aaron, Laura, BLT, Megs, Kawika, Paul)hired a car and headed to Copper Mountain for a day trip. Had an amazing day trying to make our way around the whole mountain. Copper is Massive!!!! On the way back drove through a snow storm (which meant powder day today!). Found Garts (in Glenwood) which is our new favourite place to spend money. Its as big as Walmart but filled with ski and snow board gear!! Love it. We are still currently homeless and have been staying with our lovely friends. Carla, debbie's friend from work back in New Zealand came to visit for three action packed days!!! We went snowboarding, rode in the back of the truck, went up to marroon bells, had her first nite at shooters(well done carla!! wink wink!) stayed up at the merry go round on the mountain and had a cat ride and snowmobile ride! thanks for coming to visit us! we had sooo much fun! Had Aussie Day a few weeks ago and even though we are kiwis we had the best time. All the Aussies got dressed up in one pieces and flags. We all went boarding together (about 50 of us). That night we made empanadas with Laura our Argentinian friend. They are kind of like Samosas. They are meant to be in a half circle shape but Ams created a new sort which were just rolled up balls (we named them baskets). That night a massive Aussie party was held at a friend of ours.
