doughnuts
my dear kim, it has been too long since I have written but life in portland got a little crazy after an underemployed lull cause I got three jobs (non-profit admin work, farmers market and lauro restaurant )and sometimes four (catering) and then i went out of town on a leisurely sun filled vacation. just days before my vacation i had the most amazing dream about you. we were sitting at a low coffee table on cushions with a huge tray of doughnuts in front of us and taking bites of each one. i woke up just after you were describing to me about a jelly filled one with an incredible texture. i woke up laughing and in such a good mood, so thanks. i love you lots and i enjoy hearing your updates. keep in touch. sabrina

Ah Kim -- it sounds like a whole different world there that you're learning. A bit scary, but brave all at the same time. Safe travels my friend...

I'm pleased to read of your pleasant and meaningful trip to Schem. It is unfortunate that instead of looking for truth you settled for half lies and distortions. For instance: in the entire block of communities near Shilo, with over 1,200 families, there are probably fewer than 50 soldiers, and these to patrol the roads, not guard the so-called settlements. Secondly, with one or two rare exceptions, you will be hard put to find inter-city roads off-limits to non-Jews. The opposite is true. Every road Jews travel on are full of Arab traffic. Jews however, would mostly likely forfeit their lives if they mistakenly drove down an "Arab" road. Next time you are in the area, come visit the "other side" and learn that in the Middle East, if you believe it, it must be true, regardless of the facts.

How is that chicken head sitting? Did you get to meditation is that elaborate shrine hall? It's beautiful. I hope you're wearing sunscreen, dear one, with all of the beach basking your doing. Sounds very stressful (ha ha)... love Anandi

Quite a hike
Palestine must be about as far as one could possibly travel from Korea. I'm glad you're enjoying it there. I'll be curious to know if you hook up with my friend's son who lives quite close to Nablus. Did you know that Stephanie is in Liberia now? Love, Dad

You just hose off yo'self along w/ the room. The floor is graded so that all the water runs into a drain in the center of all the action. The nozzle can work for butt (I assume) or any other part within reach... It's supposed to be a multi-purpose shower, I guess. I need to buy a longer hose so's I can stand up. I wanted to include Marjorita in my email, but she wasn't in my address book!

pimp fort
I like your pimp fort!!! Rad decor!!! Those Koreans sure know their patterns. So when you shower, do you just stand there and hose down the whole room, or is there actually a stall? Is that nozzle for your butt?

Mirth, merriment, mayhem and monkeyshines
The bathroom could pose a huge problem if one were to come home a wee bit drunk and confuse the washing machine for the toilet. Be ever vigilant!! Love, Dad
