Dropkick - From: The Departed
this term I picked up over here in New Zealand, however I have heard it used at Oregon State a few times. A dropkick person is more a less someone who isn't quite there, or has a very serious need for an attitude adjustment. For example, say the painters on your house refuse to use a certain brand of paint causing everything else to become delayed because they keep whining about it. They then also proceed to not show up on days they say they will to paint your house. I would call these painters dropkicks because they either: A. don't know what they're doing, B. don't care about the fact that their behaviour is affecting others, C. are trying to rip off the people's house who they are painting or D. all of the above Hope that helps!! :-)

Have Fun!! - From: Classes
So glad you are doing a blog. Your course work looks both challenging, interesting and HARD!! I think you'll be glad the Croatian was cancelled. I signed up for it at Michigan and found myself in a room of Russian majors, so it was back to German for me.
