Paris at last! Overall - it was everything I hoped it would be - fun, bustling, and beautiful. Saw so many, many historic sights, probably a lot of them without even knowing they were "sights" or knowing their actual names. That didn't stop me from enjoying myself though! I tried to take as many pictures as I could (about 100 actually) and ended up posting 51 to this blog entry. Hopefully this will give you somewhat of an idea of the breathtaking scenery I was so lucky to observe. The day started out very early - waking up at 5:30am to [View Full Entry]

Caroline’s Birthday - Tuesday June 10th Caroline picked me up early Tuesday, June 10th, the morning of her birthday. As I didn’t know the French version, I sang her happy birthday in Spanish. She seemed surprised and asked me what language this was. Although she appears to know some Spanish, she was either not familiar with the birthday song in this language or my singing was too bad for her to make out the words. During the car ride over to the club, numerous people called her to wish her a happy birthday. Although flattered, she seemed flustered and annoyed because [View Full Entry]

To give you a better idea of what it is I do in France - here is a bit from a typical day with a few pictures to go along with it. This morning Caroline picked me up from the house a little after 8am (for someone who insists she doesn't like Paris, she sure spends quite a few nights there with Virginie at their apartment). Then we went down to the Morsang polo club and fed the horses. They get their buckets first - different combinations of pellets and a corn mix. I wrote it all down when I first [View Full Entry]

Trek to Dourdan Europe » France » Īle-de-France » Paris
So yesterday Monday was my 1st day off to pittle around and rest up. Of course the day didn't work out quite like that. Morning was great - had breakfast, checked internet/email (thanks for all the messages!) then decided to scooter down to Dourdan; a little village not too far from the club. So scooter over - everything is going great. The weather was amazingly beautiful - blue skies, warm light breeze, couldn't have been nicer (and its been so darn cold up til this point too). So truly enjoying myself with the dorky scooter helmet and all. I was finally [View Full Entry]

French Life Europe » France » Īle-de-France » Paris
Finally in France! Hi everyone - gosh it seems like forever since the last entry. Finally found an internet source - yay! Last week or so has been so busy. Mostly polo stuff, some fun things and believe it or not, lots of errand runs - even in France people live normal-to boring lives - who knew? But somehow even the most basic of things like going grocery shopping or doing laundry or getting a sinus infection (not enough sleep) are an adventure because its in France. So since its been a bit - there is quite a lot of catching [View Full Entry]

Since shopping, packing, etc. are all part of the great trials of traveling & as neither I nor many of my fellow readers have had much experience with blogging - I figured an entry or two in the United States would serve as a good practice run for us all. So here's to blogging & travel! Much Love - xoxo ♥Kerissa [View Full Entry]
