| 3rd December 2008 Peter | Move On - From: Georges Seurat at the Musee d'Orsay Hey Kenneth, I found your travelogue from Don's. Love the Seurat pics and your passion over his story. When I was in Chicago I spent hours looking at 'Sunday'. And I was able to get tickets to the Revival in New York! I'm jealous you got to wander the streets and see more of his art! |
| 3rd December 2008 lama al_Alem | wonderful photos - From: Letting the Lights Dim on Paris Iwant to thank you for these wonderful photos and yhis marvelous site. Iuploaded many images from this site and I like it so much thanks for your efforts |
| 1st December 2008 Ashley | since we're quoting... - From: Letting the Lights Dim on Paris Why do all the WRONG people travel, while the right people stay at home? So glad you handsome gents had a great time! |
| 1st December 2008 Keith | Bon Soir... - From: Letting the Lights Dim on Paris I am so intensely happy that you had such a great time there! When I was in Paris, I was 16, so I didn't have the opportunity to truly appreciate it, but I remember some damned fine food. But we DID go into Burger King. After which, our courier said, "The Burger King burgers in Fraahhnce (she was British) are made with horsemeat!!" So, like Kenneth says, eat what the French put in front of you. You never know what you'll get from the Americans there, either... ;-) |
| 1st December 2008 Michael | Thank you! - From: Letting the Lights Dim on Paris Dear heart, You must travel more just so I can read your TravelBlog! But then I'd see even less of you, if that's possible. Hmmm... OK, I've got it! Travel more, but when you're in San Francisco we hang out more! Sound good? I adore you and I miss you! (And I know it takes two to ignore each other. My apologies!) xoxo! Michael PS: I'm wearing a t-shirt today that says, "Moi, je veux te dire que je ne te quitterai jamais. Et puis, si tu es triste, je pourrais toujours te donner un peu d'alcool pour te rechauffer le couer. xo" Basically this means that I'll be there for you always. And I'll get you drunk when you're sad. I don't speak French, but I love the message! mwh |

| 13th July 2007 Miss Virginia | Wow! - From: An Open Letter to the Frankfurt Airport Frankfurt airport makes the airport in Cabo San Lucas sound luxurious! And that is no small feat! Come home already! |

| 12th July 2007 Keith | Diggin' It - From: Back On Dry Land I'm diggin' the cap with horns. I also love your theory of why everything is so expensive. |
| 9th July 2007 Keith | Nice - From: A brief visit to the 21st century... Pretty pictures, Rusty! |
| 5th July 2007 Brion Luv Leopard | Anne Frank Hiezzy - From: The Anne Frank House Is this Paul Frank's sister? Sorry had to make a joke...this entry reminded me of the time I visited this house. Heavy experience to say the least. Thought that the "It all keeps going" entry was beautiful, and so true. Keep up the blog...I like traveling with your POV. |
| 5th July 2007 Miss Virginia | - From: The Anne Frank House I just love seeing the world through your eyes. This particular entry was especially moving. Thanks for sharing, sweetie. |
| 5th July 2007 Ronda | Who said it was architecturally beautiful? - From: From Hamster Jam to Oslo No, Oslo doesn't have spectacular architecture... it is that Scandanavian modernist movement... that is the city hall by the way. =0P Norway is for the spectacular NATURAL scenery, not the architectural scenery. Hope the train ride was fun... don't forget the fanicular in Bergen... at or around midnight... SPECTACULAR! |
| 5th July 2007 Cheryl | - From: From Hamster Jam to Oslo I thoroughly enjoyed reading about your Amsterdam jaunt. You make me want to go back! You're bringing back some chocolate penises to replace the chocolate you and Ronda stole from my cube last week, right? Heh. |
| 3rd July 2007 SFO2AMS | It's pronounced like Y - From: Where The Streets Have No Name Just remember 'ij' is really a 'y', and you'll do mostly OK. It may help you to know that even the Dutch are amused by their language. Avoid the Chicken Krokets in the Automaat -- if, that is, they are really chicken. And, please promise me that you won't have your patatjes oorlog experience at Febo. Just remember that Biologisch (on food) means organic not crawling with bugs. I'm kind of a weird person about museums. I was in Amsterdam 11 times before JohnJohn dragged in into the Rijksmuseum. I think the Rembrandts are just big dark pictures. I was however obsessed with Vermeer's "Little Street" My favorite museum in Holland is Madurodam in The Hague. |
| 3rd July 2007 Keith | Well... - From: Welcome to Amsterdam. We've No Idea Who You Are. Color me green. The envy thing, don't actually do it, or I'll have you use some Fusion!! (Kenneth understands) |
| 2nd July 2007 Matt | Probiotic Yoghurt Thickie??? - From: Where The Streets Have No Name Digestive wonder though it is, I do believe some work needs to be done on either the translation or the marketing. I don't think I want to drink something called a "thickie." AWESOME blog! |
| 2nd July 2007 Ronda | Okay People Around Me are Scared - From: Where The Streets Have No Name Mostly because I laughed outloud, FREQUENTLY with this post. The dog boys continue to mope around the house, looking for their dads, Camp Ronda is a sullen place. You, of course, are missing a stretch of SPECTACULAR weather in the Bay Area... glad you took it with you. Love, Ronda |
| 2nd July 2007 RRyan | Passport - From: Welcome to Amsterdam. We've No Idea Who You Are. Yeah, I was pretty disappointed the last time I entered the EU. I travelled all over and got one passport stamp in Paris! They only stamp your passport upon entry to an EU country. Intercontinenetal travel is now like travelling from SF to New Mexico. Oh well, Cheryl and I are holding down the fort! |
| 2nd July 2007 SFO2AMS | - From: Welcome to Amsterdam. We've No Idea Who You Are. It's funny. I've always had the opposite experience. I haven't landed in Germany since 1999. But, remember you entered the EU in Germany, Schiphol was just an internal flight. Omigod! You're in my favorite city, from which the fates have kept me for four looooong years! Don't forget: Stroopwafels and Mergpijpen (it means marrow bone, but you want not the meat kind, but the marzipan and chocolate kind) in the cookie section of Albert Heijn and at any Friets stand, Patatjes Oorlog (French Fry War, I want pictures). Rusty check your email! Have fun. |
| 2nd July 2007 SFArchitectBear | Missing you all ready - From: Welcome to Amsterdam. We've No Idea Who You Are. Greetings from Ronda and the boys at home. We miss you mucho. Glad you arrived safe and sound even if it wasn't as good as a private jet. Hope you have fun tonight and don't forget to SLEEP. Love, The Del Vale Bandits |
| 2nd July 2007 Cheryl | - From: Welcome to Amsterdam. We've No Idea Who You Are. Space cakes. That's all I'm saying. |
| 1st December 2006 Miss Virginia | Fun Fun! - From: Adventures In Fine Dining, Hawaiian Style Oh my gosh, please keep writing. I love hearing all about your adventures. The photos are darling. Next time, bring me!!! This makes me even more pumped for NYC! Love, Elizabeth |
| 1st December 2006 Cheryl | Aloha! - From: Adventures In Fine Dining, Hawaiian Style Mmm. I think last time I was in Maui, my diet consisted of pineapple, ahi poke, and lava flows. Lava flows are my favorite. So far, I've found nobody here on the mainland knows how to make them correctly. But I'm on a quest to prove myself wrong. Hawaiians also love them some li hing flavored ... anything. The li hing mango is OK. Sorry to hear about the rain, but I'm glad you were able to come back the next day. Forgot to tell you that the ahi poke at Old Lahaina Luau is to DIE for. |
| 27th November 2006 Mari | - From: Parting Shots Call me a loser ... when you sent this blog out last year, it was right in the crux of madness. I got a chance to "live" your blog all at once this morning and look forward to reading all about your escapades in Maui. Thank you for sharing and remembering me. I miss you and wish you all the best! |
| 27th November 2006 Miss Virginia | Looking Good, Fellas!! - From: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Sand in My Suit So glad the condo is great and y'all are having a blast. Be careful in the sun and see you when you return!! |
| 26th November 2006 Cheryl | - From: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Sand in My Suit I think that woman in the striped shirt is also trying to see if your butt's hanging out. People in Hawai'i are so helpful! |

| 23rd November 2005 Keith | Mmmm... - From: Sometimes You've Got To Stop and Smell The Cows ...Chicken-flavored potato chips??!?! That actually sounds really good to me right now. Of course, I haven't had lunch, yet. Drool... Are you tramping while you're tramping? |
