Book cheap, smile sweetly and get upgraded! - From: On the road again
Looks like you're having a ball. Mel, don't you like heights? I suppose someone had to take the photo?! Same the booze is so pricey, I suppose you can detox for a while until you find a country thats a bit cheaper! Thankfully the weather here has improved and we seem to be having an Indian summer, lets hope that comment hasnt tempered fate! looking forward to hearing about Sweden. Sarah & Rachel XX

Matilda's - From: Pacific Beach Paradise
Sounds like you had a nice trip, albeit brief, with little time to know the real beauty that lies nearby. I grew up in San Juan and my family has lived there for more than a hundred years. One tip you should let others know, Nicaraguan beaches are all public. No one "owning" land along the coast can tell you where you can or cannot "chill". Matilda's is cozy, nice, and cheap but keep in mind, why pay to sleep on the beach when you can sleep on ANY beach in Nicaragua for FREE. Walk 5 meters from Matilda's to the beach and, presto, you are no longer paying for your stay. Just a thought and you of all visitors should know that the beach offers the same amenities as Matilda's minus the dog kennel. This is not to say dont give Matilda's business, just some factual info for the next time you are looking for a place to stay in Nicaragua and are near a beach. Like any other place, don't leave valuables unattended.....the hills do have eyes, very patient eyes. Carry the NIcaraguan express card and never leave home without it....a machete...($2.00 USD) at the hardware store...truely disposable security and it makes a nice impromptu souvenir as well. Sooo jealous! - From: Out for a Little Bike Ride
Hello My Cousins! Sorry its taken me so long to write...Rich and I have long returned from our 'Eurotrip' and I we are wanting to do it all over again very soon... Costa Rica looks incredible..hope you caught some good waves. You must both be incredibly fit after all these hikes, bike rides...uh..and running away from 'cute tarantulas' what an oxymoron that is! That thing was HUGE! I would have sh*t myself. Can't wait to see you guys when you get back! Lots of love xxx

fit as fiddles - From: Out for a Little Bike Ride
You two seem to be doing everything available to do over there..cycling,walking,getting robbed and becoming illegal immigrants. Iif you think you are having fun you should know that you are providing me with endless entertainment just reading about your adventures. I keep laughing hysterically and interrupting the football much to Ian's irritation. Enjoy the remaining bit and looking forward to seeing you both Oh yes! Try not to get arrested!!!!

- From: The Gringos are melting in Leon
Yummy - those crabs should boost the calcium levels and you could use the claws as tooth picks too!! It sounds like you two should do well in one of those sad TV programmes about other peoples lives ....racing around the world to find things ... whats it called ... the journey.. the race ... something like that ?? Has there been any road rage yet ?? Come on Ken give us the gory bits!!

our dafs are out Big WOW!! - From: A Bit of Culture.
You get to see pyramids and howler monkeys and also get served on a bus by a friendly child with good food in a bucket. The most exciting thing in England is that spring is on its way (I think) and I get served by woman who have forgotten how to smile and wouldn't know customer service if it slapped them in thier miserable faces. I know where I would rather be. Enjoy Easter!!!
