We had a great time lots of drinking and eating and lots walking in Sinapore. Not the cheapest place but we knew that before went. I could live in Singapore felt very safe and everyone was friendly. High rise apartment living might not be that great. Very free houses with gardens only embassies and the very very richWe're went on the Singapore flyer (wheel) great views. It took 30 mins up and 30 mins down. We did this at night to get another perspective Of Singapore. In our gondola that holds 25 people lucky for us there was only 8 of us. Our trip to the island was first getting to the top of Mount Faber - I would like to say we trekked up but we took a cab! At the top is where the Cable car starts. Just the two of us in the gondola so plenty of room they had a VIP gondola not sure what you get as extra for being a VIP maybe champers! Great view over the harbour you cannot count how many ships are waititheir the harbour incredible site. Couldn't get any good photos because of the haze - very similar to Hong Kong. Sentosa Island has Universal Studios, hotel and a casino. Very small so easy to wander around escalators also make it going from one level to the next. They have lovely gardens and a large Merlion. We arranged a breakfast at the zoo with the orang-tangs. Lovely zois about 45 mins from the hotel. It is on a small island so a lot of the animals are in open enclosures. Breakfast was interesting I now know there is a different between pork bacon and beef bacon - taste and toughanise had breakfast with a couple from WA they were going on a boat back to WA 2 weeks cruise. Had a lovely morning at the zoo wandering around. Lucky for us we just got on a bus back to the city when we had a heavy rain downpour. Since I did not do this blog while I was away it will be one entry as we have been back for a couple of weeks so memory probably what's faded on details. Here we go. Our flight began with early start and then a 7 hour flight. Didn't sleep watched movies. Couldn't believe how big airport was 10 min walk gust to get to bags. Also couldn't believe the 'streets' for shopping and we hadn't left the airport! Picked up in Mercedes nice friendly driver - first impression was lovely and clean and trees and flowers everywhere. Not too hot for the afternoon. Hotel in great position overlooking the marina and great view of the Marina Sands Hotel. We were on the 36th floor with a balcony!
