Sunday…finally!!! I was able to get out of camp to go to church….it is really nice to get away!!! When I got back we had free time on the front lawn and it was absolutely beautiful and warm outside! Lunch, then quiet time which we used to practice our play which is on Friday and Saturday night, we are doing Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory with our brother bunk, and being in Junior camp everyone has to have a speaking role whether they like it or not! Today is family visiting day at camp, mostly grandparents come this weekend and parents will come the next weekend. So we had extra cabin cleanup time this morning and we then waited on the front lawn for the grandparents to come! It was so emotional for me to see the girls and their siblings run to their grandparents and give them hugs and kisses! The girls were so excited to show them the cabin and the grandparents had many many gifts for them….tons and tons of candy that will need to be “disposed” of at the end of the day!! We woke up and were stoked to go back to Baker River. We went into the cafeteria and grabbed something to go since we were going to have a later breakfast, so I grabbed a banana and some tea. We all left for Baker river and Jeff made us Chocolate ship pancakes for breakfast. After breakfast we cleaned up and went for a swim, the water, the weather and the sun were wondrous!!! It was hard to get up this morning but I eventually made it out of bed and got all the girls to breakfast! I took the morning off and Amberlynn took the afternoon off, so I was able to go to swimming lessons and soccer this afternoon. At 4:00 we left for Baker River which is an over night trip, no hiking, just camping. We arrived there around 4:45 and explored the River while our Campcraft Jeff made spaghetti for dinner! Today was my day off so we left last night after our staff meeting, which took forever!!! (Especially since we were ready to leave!!!) We arrived in Boston around midnight and found a place to stay…we did not get to bed until 3am though because we were all up talking! Morning went smoothly; we all wanted to leave the hotel by 9 so I was up at 8 so I could take a long hot shower with no bugs and no need to rush!!! We were all out by 9:15, found breakfast. Very chilly today, rained on and off, the girls had tennis in the morning and then boating. We kayaked; it is so nice to be on the water, very relaxing and peaceful! The girls then had lunch, swimming and then dancing. For electives all the girls wanted to work on the car for the Whitman 500, which is a relay race, I will be unable to see is since I will be in BOSTON tomorrow!!! Today was Lazy Monday again which meant late Reville! All the girls were up by 6:30 though, Reville goes off at 7:45 and that extra half hour is really nice! We spent 2 hours in the cabin cleaning and getting everything organized before assembly. After assembly is lunch and right after lunch we had waterskiing. We had to drive to another lake and we split in 2 boats and all the girls were able to water-ski, and knee board, there was unfortunately no time for me to go, but maybe next time! It was really stormy last night, the thunder shook the cabins, luckily none of the girls got up although I was prepared for them to come into our room; but the morning was nice and sunny and has been sunny since! The sun did hide behind clouds around 2 and stayed there until sunset. The girls went to SIGS this morning, I went to nature for a while before church and then after church I joined the girls for free time on the front lawn where we made bracelets and soaked up the sun while it was out. This morning we had our hike and it was a glorious day. It did not rain on our hike which was nice and when we got to the top we were able to spend some time up there and eat lunch and baste in the beautiful sunshine! When we got back to camp it was straight to the showers, it was all cold water though since every other cabin showered. After showers we had a needed quiet time before dinner. Amberlynn left for her day off last night so I have the girls to myself all today!!! The Reveille went off and all the girls were up right away!! The sun was also out which is SOOO much better than the rain! They all got ready speedy and cleaned up their areas, they listened so well!!! Breakfast was great and then we had chores which again went marvelously!!! I had no problems with any of the girls and they were all so helpful!
