Thanks a lot kris,Marc and Gen..you people are really blessed by Yellemma..I hope you might have got bright future now...keeping visiting India...:-) by the way ..it's not dirty water..its purely holy water which is taken from cocunut..
Thanks for your unbiased writeup I just bumped into your site and went about reading your experiences in Saundatti. I have been living(in Belgaum) just 70 km from Saundatti for the last 15 years but never once visited the place. I feel a little bit ashamed looking at all the trouble you took inspite of being a foreigner to visit Yellammadevi and get to know more about my(Indian) Culture and heritage. I sincerely hope India will be blessed with many more visits by you. All the best
I traveller Its amazing that u ended up at Yellamana gudda of all places. If you look at it, maybe the goddess called you there through a series of coincidences. I used to go there every year with my family when I was in India. Now that I am in New York, I am feeling nostalgic.

Where to now? Was re-reading Jen's blog and noticed she was wanting to include S. America in her travels. Are you two going to be hooking up again for an assualt on S. America? Or mabe it was Central America... At any rate I hope you can keep going and keep your starved, addicted, travel wanna-be's informed with your excellent reporting abilities.... Keep writing and KEEP SAFE... Jim in Wa. State
Hoping for more Kris and Jen;
Please tell us this is not the end. We have enjoyed your posts from the start and found them profound in your observations. We hope you are both safe and well.
Please know that you have a big following and how starved we are for more of your posts.... Jim Blanchard in Washington State
SAUDADES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Somente agora que estou podendo ler o seu blog. Estou adorando. Viajando... Muitas recordacoes... Este primeiro texto me fez lembrar os dois dias no barco em Laos, e a viagem na minivan ate Chiang Mai. Me deu muitas saudades!!!!!!!!!!!!
Adorei lhe conhecer, e vamos mantendo contato!!
Forte abraco, Michelle
Bugs & Snakes Kris;
Are you finding bugs, snakes, spiders, centipedes to be a worry in any particular area of your travels? Am particularly interested in poisonous sea snakes in the waters of Viet Nam.
We are enjoying your posts very much. Thanks, Jim
Ha Long Bay Viet Nam Was happy to see your warning about the tour operators at the HaLong Bay stop in VN. Four of us will depart Washington State in April 2008 for a month or so in VN, BKK, SEL.
Have enjoyed reading your posts. Also, your photo's are wonderful.
Have been to Koh Samui and S.E. Asia many times but only saw VN threw a gun sight...Now want to see it threw my own eyes.
Keep your posts coming.... Jim
Ah Hoi An - just like I remember Hi Kris, I recognize that building with the red sign from Hoi An as well. I spent New Years 2003 there.
I also felt the same way about the tourism stuff in Vietnam - too many people pestering me: "cyclo, shoe shine, postcards?" I think Vietnam peaked as a destination in 1995. I felt like the locals all saw me and treated me like a walking ATM.
Definitely liked Burma (Myanmar) and Cambodia much better - still need to get to Laos.
India hi there. Beautiful description about my beautiful land. Thank you for bringing out so many good things about my country on these pages when so many of the people curse and get frustrated with my country. Thank a lt and best of luck to you in your travels
I didn't see the Pink Hair. Wow! That is a great look. It appears that you are really enjoying your travels. I love reading the highlights of all your adventures. Keep up the good work!
