We went to Pellegrinis, 66 Bourke St for some authentic Italian food, it really is an expresso bar like you would find in Italy - just a long bar, that patrons can sit at or the communal wooden table in the kitchen at the back, where you are literally sitting beside the cookers with the pots and pans simmering away on top. For our first night out in Melbourne we waited for Irene to finish her training night in her Café (that she subsequently learned to hate) . We brought some Red Bull and Vodka - not enough mind you - and then found these random people to go to Flinder’s Lane with. Some miserable person had the woeful idea of doing Jager bombs (which now seem to be a regular feature in my life). We went down to Albert Park to collect Zoey’s little footy jacket today, number 36 Davy. After coming out of Flinder’s Street Station we walked across to Federation Square to check out this impromptu dance that was happening. Some dude in a purple spandex jumpsuit was getting random people to tell a story through dance. So it ended up that two guys were the scrorned lovers, and the girl had to run across the square to this guy that Purple Man just pulled out of the crowd. Life in Australia with “those Irish people”…. What can we say, from the moment we picked up “those Irish people” from the airport - it has been a non-stop whirlwind of chatter, laughter and craic! Firstly just trying to understand each others ‘lingos’ & accents has been hilarious, for example; “what is an udder”, and “how do you say ‘are‘ “ then realising disappointedly that they are said the same way! Kimberly Klub in Broome really turned out to be a fantastic hostel and we had so much fun there....many nice days chilling by the pool with the rest of the girls, having some drinks at the bar !! On our last day Irene and I decided to take some photos of the town...including Ayres Rock and the oldest outdoor cinema in the world!! To end our time in Broome we had a beautiful dinner while looking at the sunset over our champagne…backpackers to our core! We went to see Straight 2 the Ace in Oasis this night…well we kinda felt we had to seeing as we had told the whole world to go the night before. This night Irene, Kip, Sabine and I first went to the outdoor cinema to watch “The World’s Fastest Indian”, and it was one of the best experiences. We all sat in these hammock type seats…so that when the person next to you moved you moved too. The movie was amazing, but then half way through suddenly you hear this big noise - look up just over the screen and there is a plane nearly on top of you!! The airport in Broome is literally in the town (like five minutes) so all the planes fly in really low over the town. [View Full Entry]

The park is home to fifteen thousand dangerous Salt Water Crocodiles, Australian Fresh Water Crocodiles, the exotic New Guinea Freshwater Crocodiles, South American Caimans and American Alligators. This was one of the scariest parks ever....I have found a new fear of crocodiles and one that is very well founded. They are the most vicious and evil animal that I have ever seen - and as the closest living descendant to the dinosaur they are a force to be reckoned with. We went along to Murphy's Irish Bar for an Open Mike night. It was actually really good...not as smelly as the previous night!! And it actually did a decent impression of an Irish Bar and had cider!
