Kiev now I've been in Kiev many times (1968 - 1980) and had here my promotion to Dr.art. So I'm glad to see pictures from an eyewitness and so rich, different and expressive. I'm aware that Kiev is changing rapidly, as is Riga where i live (since 1960). But the heritage is so great and so rich. I'm sorry to read about these 'unhappy people'. Perhaps there are not places on Earth where everybody is happy. But at that time I met mostly such people as Natalia... Kiev impressed (and impresses) me with its spaciousness, wastness, breath of real long and complicated history. I wish the people there with all cordiality to be as happy as ever possible.
Fantastic!! Love reading about your adventures and viewing your pictures. What an interesting life you lead!
Wondering where in Philly the wedding will be?
still in ecuador.... bummed I didn't know Bernie was back in Ecuador again -- I'm sure he was very busy, but I would have moved mountains to be able to see him while he was here at the equator.....
keeping in close contact What fun to read about your Costa Rica reunion -- the villa looks fabulous -- great way to make it a vacation for everyone! You guys are really good at staying in touch with loved ones, near and far. Alas, it looks like I probably won't be able to get to Arizona this summer. I WILL be in LA May 16-23 with my Dad in Orange Country if there's any way you guys could come for a few days. Yesterday I drove down to the Amazon Basin overlook (2 hrs frm Banos) and was recalling to my friends how I first met you guys before daybreak in a canoe at La Selva 22 yrs ago. lots of love Jill
What great fun! Hi Kathy, Bernardo et al...
Your Family Reunion trip looks like it was a blast!!! Everytime I see photos from your travel blogs I'm reminded of my need to plan better and travel to some of the many places I still want to visit. Costa Rica is on my list and I may need to propose to my Soul Sister Circle Group that it should be strongly considered as one of our forthcoming, extended weekend annual getaway destinations. Surely, prices are very, very reasonable there.
Everyone looks great in the photos! And if Vicky was sick during the week, the photos do not reflect it; she looks absolutely stunning!
Thank you for sharing.
Hugs and kisses,
Shondra
gianwe have been to this place and even took almost the same pictures of weard´s end. Manus wife comes from that area, from Tonsberg or Nøderøye. We plan to return to Norway next summer and i started lerning some Norwe
Love your Letter! Thanks for Sharing Kathy! I loved reading about your adventures and I'm copying your "blessings" - Grandmother's teeth indeed - HEE HEE!
All my best - Gerogia
subway art!! Great photos -- I especially loved the burial statues and the subway art -- so elegant! Sounds like you really enjoyed the others in your group -- sometimes group travel can really enhance the experience. Good thing Brian got a bar-hopping buddy when Dan arrived -- in spite of the snoring it was probably nice for them both to have a "contemporary" on the tour.
Eat the Pizza, why don't you? :-) Hee, hee, hee.......cold pizza, eh? I wish I could've been there to see the exchange in "communication" between you and the manager! Too funny! :-)
Muy bueno :)

February 2020. We are still in Tucson, Arizona, well, often anyway. We continue our wanderings and enjoying our adventures. We haven't lived outside the US in awhile, but have lived in: Guatemala, Ecuador, the Netherlands (twice), Germany (twice) and South Africa. We have now traveled to well over 100 countries, but that doesn't mean we plan on stopping any time soon. ... full info
