sooooorrrrry about the poor quality of my last blog, i was hot and had a headache and was annoyed at the lack of working atms in laos!! but all is very good. thailand is sooo incredibly different from india, bangkok especially. we got bombarded with ladyboys and buckets and ''ping pong'' shows...soo strange. apart from mia i haven't had the chance to skype anyone yet as the time difference is now 7 hours. so if anyone is planning to be online at some obscure time please let me know and we can have a catch up. for more info please visit lauras blogs...shes the talker plus she has a laptop that she can record everything in. (it got stolen so we had to buy a new one) some one managed to break into our hotel room ... read more

arrived in india with no trouble this time, changed in mumbai, and ended up meeting merav and laura outside the guest house (they made bets which way i would i arrive from, merav won therefore a gin for her) spent some time in our teeny tiny room catching up, managed to convince an indian man at the bar that all british women were gay (hoping this would make him leave us alone) but sadly not, he then went on to tell us that everything we were talking about (this time we weren't lying) were lies...geeez, hard to escape the idiots in delhi. went to agra for the day to see the taj mahal which was absolutely beautiful. we refused to pay the high price of 700rp for foreigners and decided to go to a park round ... read more

So I wake up early in the morning on Saturday the 31st January in Sarah's halls (thanks sarah) and wondered around London until meeting Sofia and eating way too much Pret food because we were both to scared to venture into the cheap looking Pub called ''Dirty Dicks''. Got the tube to Terminal 4, checked in and everything was going smoothly, I even treated myself to a Starbucks panini. Plane journey to Bahrain was okay, watched Up again, slept a little and marvelled at the free socks and sleeping mask (that was going to be your surprise present, sorry Laura). Stayed in Bahrain for a couple of hours until I could get a flight to Delhi, got 3 seats all to myself and read up on Arab hip hop artist... apparently they are getting quite popular. ... read more

okay, well hello and sorry for the delay in blogging, but ive been busy...beaching and sunning myself at all hours of the day. well...where to begin? if you've read laura's blog then im sure you'll be filled in on more details that i'd too lazy to explain. but in short...goa was amazing, and i am returning one day with whoever will accmpany me. in palolem we stayed in a little guest house with two friends, one austrailian and one israeli. the room was painted pink and i finally got the wash all the sand out of my hair (only for it to put back there at a later date...) we stayed in palolem for 5 nights, some days it was beautifully sunny but some were rainier than manchester, but we were lucky because a cyclone just ... read more

Hello all, we have moved from mysore to gokarna, om beach. GOOGLE IT, its fucking fantastic. i think i wouldnt mind living here one day, the views are absolutely stunning, the sea is beautifully warm and the people are so friendly. only problem is is that we're ill...again. well i havent stopped being ill since last thursday, actually, the thursday before last, but ive managed to eat more and im drinking rehydration salts (they taste foul!!!) but i am generally feeling a lot better! laura on the otherhand is pretty ill, so shes sat under my instuction drinking as much water as she can. we're staying in a series of little huts right on the beach. our room has sand floors which means that the sand gets EVERYWHERE! ive been finding it in places i didnt ... read more

Well, we've left sadhana forest which was weird, went to Bangalore where we spent two nights, and now we are in Mysore. Bangalore was crazy and very busy, but luckily we were on the out skirts which mean we had a nice guest house for not that much money, the only tricky thing was getting around the place. Rickshaws and everywhere but they all want to rip you off. At our hostel we actually had a balcony (albeit a tiny one, but a balcony none the less). To get to Bangalore from Pondicherry, we had to travel on a Sleeper bus, which was one of the strangest things ive ever been on. there is a series of teeny tiny bunk beds separated by curtains, and if the bus takes a corner too sharply you could end ... read more

after a conversation with my mum i just want to make a few things clear. i know laura and i said at first that we would be gone for 9 months, but i really dont think you can plan that far ahaed. i may be gone for a year or i may be gone 3 months, it really depends of how i feel. and even if i did come home i'd probably fly out again pretty shortly after. right now im having a wonderful time so i wont be home any time soon, but dont be thinking that you wont see me until next summer because i have no idea what is going to happen. this is no the only time in my lie that i am going to hve the chance to travel. but i ... read more

hello!! well this week has been full of mixed emotions, mostly good but some not so good. i will start with the bad. yesterday after laura and I got back from Pondicherry we realised that her rucksack was missing and that the back gate into the forest had been left unlocked. After an hour of searching through trees (without any help) we came across it, although the bottom locked compartment had been forced open although nothing was taen except some english money. sadly i was not so lucky. they stole both my torches, my eppilator, my memory stick and a photo of tom and I. they probably were overwhelmed by the blondeness and/or found it hilarious. so some indian boy out there has a photo...how very very strange. the main panic though was thinking that they ... read more
