Kashtin

My dog and I live in my own house just outside Calgary and we're looking for female companionship for hiking or scrambles in the Rockies. I have found that the best trails are always those away from the weekend crowds, usually in southern Kananaskis.

I love to load my sleeping bag in my van and do road trips through Alberta, BC, NWT and Yukon, but miss sharing the history, scenery and hot springs with someone who can appreciate the moment.

After 25 trips through Yukon, Alaska and NWT, I have purchased property in Yukon, just a short walk from Tagish Lake. Quiet mountainous country with small town friendliness. Tagish is in the Southern Lakes district, centrally located from Whitehorse, Skaguay and Atlin. There is an abandoned building that I plan to renovate during the summer of 2010 and on frequent later trips. http://www3.telus.net/public/trdpike/kashtin.htm

I am looking for female companions(s) for hiking, biking and exploring southern Yukon. While the purpose of the trip will be to work on the property, I’d like to spend some of the time hiking and biking around my new home, learn the hiking trails, history and lake system of Tagish. One of the hikes will be to the top of Caribou Mountain, near Carcross where an excellent view should be gained of the Tagish/ Carcross area.
