I visited the cities of Delhi Jaipur Agra Varanasi Haridwar and Rishikesh.......enjoy http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/India/Uttar-Pradesh/Varanasi/blog-427711.html when a wandering soul comes to rest.. After the weekend in Pondicherry began our last week of school. A large part of it we just spent going to class and preparing for the final exams we would have but we still tried to get as much done in Bangalore as we could before leaving. we shopped for lastminute items during the days ate as much indian food as we could in the evenings and then went out every single night to a different cl http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/India/Karnataka/Bangalore/blog-427680.html pondi and auroville The weekend after our trip around Shravanabelagola Belur Halebidu and Mysore I attended three days of class and then left again with Nia and Renee to go to Pondicherry a city on the eastern Indian coast in the state of Tamilnadu. It was initially a French colony and the French influence there is absolutely noticeable...there are french restaurants everywhere the streets have french names a http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/India/Tamil-Nadu/Pondicherry/blog-425866.html Kushalnagar Halebidu Belur Mysore.. The weekend after going to Nandi hills we took another trip around the south of india. part of it was USAC organized but a group of 15 of us left a day early so we could see a couple other areas as well. We left Thursday night on an overnight bus that was supposed to bring us to Coorg at about 6 or 7am. instead what we found was that at 430 in the morning there were 15 of us standing in the mi http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/India/Karnataka/Mysore/blog-425519.html villages nandi hills fights to the death...it's all here in india so the weeks have been passing on and on like they always do. i realized that i have only about 2 more weeks here before i go back to the states for the first time in 8 months i'm not sure how i feel about that...in one way i am excited to be able to unpack my clothes and my bags for a while and just be around people who i can understand in familiar surroundings..but at the same time the world i http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/India/Karnataka/Bangalore/blog-422955.html in the south So i figured it might be time to write something about Bangalore since this is now my new home.. Bangalore is a city in the southern indian state of Karnataka. the population is reported to be about 10 million though i really can't even imagine how they estimate the population of any city in india...so i'm not quite sure about that. but there ARE a lot of people. the first thing I noticed as http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/India/Karnataka/Bangalore/blog-418808.html .india. this blog is coming somewhat late because i am currently in Bangalore but it refers to the time corey and i spent in Haridwar in the north. Haridwar is our favorite place we visited in north india even more than varanasi i think though the two are close.. Haridwar is one of the holiest cities in India one of the seven holiest places for the Hindus apparently. The name can be split into two http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/India/Uttarakhand/Haridwar/blog-418053.html blissssss The monsoon must be moving north because I just had the joy of running and dancing in the rain in Delhi. Yesterday I also woke up from the sound of rain and went outside at 630 in the morning to run on the streets of Haridwar indulging in the wetness that was. And the best part is that it's warm rain...not cold rain like you find in Reno or in the Italian wintertime. Oh joyous joyous world wh http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/India/National-Capital-Territory/Delhi/blog-413664.html Holy Mother Ganges I just had to write again because I am so thrilled about this city of Varanasi. Corey and I arrived here a few days ago somewhat frustrated with India but ever since we arrived things have been going so wonderfully.Varanasi is one of the holy cities of India. It is located on the Ganges River and every day you can see all sorts of people swimming around in the water bathing praying going on b http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/India/Uttar-Pradesh/Varanasi/blog-411742.html indiaaaa India is turning out to be a very interesting place. This is what I have come to conclude most recentlyThere is no such thing as silence here. Whether it is car horns or yelling or music in the streets there is always something happening. Even when we woke up at 5am to see the sunrise at the Taj Mahal there were still so many people on the streets and playing in the parks that it was unbeliev http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/India/Uttar-Pradesh/Varanasi/blog-411077.html Namaste India This time I write from a totally new continent after spending the past few days surrounded by a completely new culture. Leaving Italy last week was very very difficult. Parting from the cities has never been the hardest part for me because I know that Rome and Viterbo have been around for centuries and most likely will continue to sit in those same spots for many more years to come. But the peopl http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/India/National-Capital-Territory/New-Delhi/blog-409405.html Espaa Another short trip has come to a close...three days ago I flew out from Italy and into Barcelona again with Emily. This time we experienced quite a few problems at the airport..such as delayed flights and fears that Corey had not arrived on her flight from the united states. At the end we were united though and all was well...we came to our beautiful hostel in Barcelona and slept for the evenin http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/Spain/Catalonia/Barcelona/blog-407038.html la Grecia I write today from the Greek island of Santorini...a friend of mine from Viterbo Emily and I arrived in Greece on Thursday evening and we are staying for 4 days. We spent the first day in Athens seeing the Acropolis and the National Archaeological Museum. Yesterday we caught a ship early in the morning and for 8 hours looked at the sea and passing islands until we reached our destination San http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/Greece/South-Aegean/Santorini/blog-403786.html my homeland..Bulgaria Some pictures from my time here in Bulgaria.... http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/Bulgaria/South/Plovdiv/blog-401941.html Now Well here I am writing again but this time I find myself in my homeland of Bulgaria visiting the family. This is the first time I have ever been here alone but it is largely how I imagined it would be...I spent a couple of days in the beginning in the capital of Sofia where I was born where I saw my aunt and some of my cousins. I spent the majority of the time with my aunt who showered me http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/Bulgaria/West/Sofia/blog-400806.html Picture time Here are some of the pictures I have from my amazing journey to Egypt. Of course there is no way I can upload everything but I would like to give you at least a little idea about what sort of experience it was. Conclusion Egypt is amazing. I cannot wait to return. The people the culture the desertscape...its like a dream an amazing beautiful dream. Enjoy... http://www.travelblog.org/Africa/Egypt/Lower-Egypt/Cairo/blog-397240.html The Perfection of Amsterdam My experience in Amsterdam was quite the opposite of that in Egypt. It was very short very free not a whole lot of things on our schedules to see and pretty normal.. I arrived in Amsterdam Saturday afternoon and was greeted by several other friends from Viterbo among them Diogo Ze Stefano and some of the Spanish Manu Adria Agnel. We went to the hotel where they already had a room re http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/Netherlands/North-Holland/Amsterdam/blog-395624.html My Flight to Egypt.. Alright so where even to begin On a journey like the one I just took throughout Spring Break there is so much meaning in even the tiniest details that I cannot see a way to include them all to make any one of you understand what sort of experience it was. Words can express only so little... Trying to move beyond this obstacle though... I went to Egypt for a week with three friends of mine from http://www.travelblog.org/Africa/Egypt/Lower-Egypt/Cairo/blog-393474.html
