We are getting our second snowfall here in Oran for the year, quite light 2 to 3 inches of light snow the last one was when we were in Seattle so we missed it. Grandma Greenough's Rolls, Pumpkin Pie, Turkey, Squash, Cranberry's if you need any recipe's and if the items are available let us know. We can provide any you need it might be late to send the food items to you especially a turkey. You mentioned living out in the country. I'm sure that makes you feel more at home--especially if they have horses. Do you still go to the same high school? I suppose it isn't walking distance so your host parents must take you there? I'm glad to hear that things are going better in school and that the teachers aren't making too many demands on you. I've been in Paris and we drove from France to Switzerland so I got to see some of the country. You'll be speaking French like a pro by the time you come home. I'm sure it's hard with the language barrier but also nice that the kids are so friendly and helpful. Your grandmother's funeral was special and I understand they are sending a tape of it to you. We can't wish her back as she suffered a lot in these last months and we knew she couldn't get better. I'm sure she's enjoying heaven right now and we know that we will see her again one day. Your grandpa put her Bible in the casket and her hand was resting on it. I thought that was so special. I had never seen that done before. Make the most of your time in France and enjoy the experience. |
