Erawan National Park was about an hour and a half bus ride from where we were staying on the first river hut in Kanchanaburi... The major attraction of the park is Erawan Falls, a waterfall named after the erawan, the three-headed white elephant of Hindu mythology. The seven-tiered falls are said to resemble the erawan. And let me tell you, in my mist of hiking and sweating in the Thailand sun, I think I just might have seen a three-headed white elephant... or two?! So as of right now, its Tuesday morning and for some odd reason... my body woke me up at 7am today and I was actually excited to get out of bed early (and for me that is HUGE! I normally enjoy sleeping in till 12 pm everyday). And when I say bed, I really mean a thin flat mattress/mat, laying side by side to Claire and Bonnie's... and those mattresses fill up the entire hut. That's it!
