Hope you enjoy these.....I guess the last pictures were from Athens....I will try and catch you up!!! I am still in Barcelona and Ross is gone to Paris....I had a nice day of lying on the beach and walking around. Looking forward to heading down the coast tomorrow! I added 31 pictures but I am having some issues with some of my Cinque Terre pictures. I can see them on the camera but they are not loading onto the computer. Hope this gives you guys a nice summary of what we have been up to!!!... read more
Hello again from Nice France!!! All is well here, cannot believe how little time we have left. I think we are both looking forward to home in our own ways. The thought of lying on the couch, in my favorite pajamas watching a movie has never sounded so good. But at the same time we both wish that it hadn't gone by so fast and we had more time to explore. Where to begin.....I guess I should mention what I left out of the last blog. At the end of the boat cruise that we posted pictures of in Corfu we had to jump into the water and swim to shore...We were some of the last people to jump in and somehow I found the bottom when I jumped in. The result was 6 stiches in ... read more

Hello from Bari!!!! So since we last put up a blog we have been travelling around Italy. From Zermatt, we took a train to Padua, a little place near Venice. We decided, as Venice is a bit of an expensive town to stay in that we would stay in Padua for two night and go into Venice for the day. The Lonely planets excellent directions of take the bus, get off at this stop and then ask for directions made finding our hostel challenging. We discovered the frustration involved when no one would even attempt to help us. After getting many head shakes a very nice lady in a store who didn't speak much english looked up the hostel on the internet and printed us out a map. We couldn't tell her enough how thankful we ... read more
Here are some photos. We had a bit of a scare at the photo shop as one of the memory cards no longer works.....don't know who is to blame but any ways....the pictures were not lost, only a memory chip fatality. Enjoy the photos, we haven't left for Venice yet, decided tomorrow is better. Talk to you all soon, Hope all is well at home Alicia and Ross... read more
Hello all, sorry no pictures this time, just an update. Ross and I are in Zermatt right now which is the Whistler town here in Switzerland. The famous mountain in the area that you may have heard of is the Matterhorn! We hiked yesterday and it was spectacular, the pictures will follow the next time we are in a place that allows us to upload them. The weather has turned and the forcast is for rain for the next couple of days so I think we are going to hop on a train to Venice today or tomorrow morning. We have found a cheap hostel there so hopefully it wont be too expensive. Since it is becoming winter here we are looking into some hiking further south in Corsica. I have heard great things about that ... read more
Hello all from Interlaken Switzerland. Well it was sad to see Mom go but it has been nice having Ross here as well. We spent two more days in Paris after Mom left and did the quick version of Paris. We got on a train yesterday from Paris-Geneva-Bern-Interlaken. It is a beautiful little town between two lakes (hence the name) and got settled at a great hostel named Balmer's Herberge. It has absolutely anything two young travellers would want. Laundry, food, a bar, store, kitchen, beds etc.... activities like sky diving, river rafting, scooter rental etc. We met some nice Canadians and Americans last night and had a blast in the night club downstairs in the hostel. This morning we rented scooters with some new friends and headed up the valley to Grindlewald. This humble mountain ... read more
Hi from Kelley in Canada! Yes, I admit I am in complete denial that my trip is over. However the jet lag reminds me it is. Boo Hoo!! I am not capable of doing much more than laundry so spent the day looking over the photos and smiling. Have heard from Alicia and Ross and all is well .....I miss her already! After talking to my sister this morning, I have decided to add more photos (not just mountains) to the blog instead of just sending her a bunch of attachments. It seems if I were on facebook I could just add an album of pictures, but as I am not, here goes. Compiled a few stats, as I really can not believe where our feet where able to take us. We completed 11 stages of ... read more
Bonsoir!! Oh my I can not believe it is my final night in Paris. It has been so much fun....who would have thought that 2.5 days here could be as demanding as hiking in the Alps. We have tried to fit alot in and have succeeded I think. It was great that Linda and Katie met up with us yesterday. For those of you who do not know.....Linda is a childhood friend from Golden who happens to still be a great friend and just happened to have the Paris stop of the European Cruise her and her 22 year old daughter were taking Sept 23. We had a very special day; There was a huge parade of pipers from all over and many streets were closed. It was just our luck that we could walk (march) ... read more
Greetings from Paris. Hope all is well at home with you all. I can not believe that my time here is nearly done....it has gone so quickly in some ways....and I am ready to come home....and then we did a bike tour of Paris this morning and I found another world yet to explore. Next time I am bringing you with me Terry, then we can stay away longer . A little update Wow yesterday went like clock work Once again I have to thank Rick Steves or the great travel info; trains went well, we arrived in Paris at 7:15 pm bought our Metro tickets, boarded our first subway train, changed to the second one, left the metro, walked up the stairs, ahead about 20 feet our hotel room and it was only 7:45 We ... read more
