Sinai So it's been quite a while since I've written and I have so much to say though not much time right now to say it. We're so busy these days with briefings and class and it's hard to find time to sit down and write. Thus this will mostly be a blog in pictures which I hope you all don't mind The highlights have been seeing the pyramids and the Sphinx very cool and climbing Mt. Sinai in the mi http://www.travelblog.org/Africa/Egypt/Red-Sea/Sharm-el-Sheikh/blog-171148.html Learning to Count A word on Arabic class so far we have learned how to greet someone how to ask a person's name and respond how to say where we're from and how to count. We also learned to write our names and mine is quite pretty It's pronounced Keelley though because Arabic doesn't have a keh sound evidently. Today in the cab on the way to the Fulbright commission we sat in a traffic jam and I realized http://www.travelblog.org/Africa/Egypt/Lower-Egypt/Cairo/blog-166040.html At the Intersection of Mar'ashli and Taha Husayn Location of AUC HostelK.J.H. Internet access finally So far life in Egypt is loud hectic and totally fun I'll try to be as detailed as possible in my description of things but it's hard because there's so much color here it's constant sensory overload We arrived in Cairo at 3 in the morning on Friday June 1st. After we made it through customs and got our visas a highly complicated pro http://www.travelblog.org/Africa/Egypt/Lower-Egypt/Cairo/blog-165243.html Stopover in Amsterdam Salaam aleikum I'm writing this from a cafe in Zamalek where we ate breakfast this morning and has wireless internet. We haven't gotten more than 7 hours of sleep in three days but Turkish coffee and adrenaline have solved that problem for the most part. Yesterday Rachel and I arrived in Amsterdam at 10 in the morning and with our flight to Cairo at 2045 we decided to buy train tickets and http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/Netherlands/North-Holland/Amsterdam/blog-164606.html Missions in Mexico Galatians 513 "Serve one another in love" Que pax During Spring Break this year I went with my youth group Christian Student Fellowship to Saltillo Mexico where we helped several churches out by pouring three cement roofs and a floor digging fence post holes and helping fence off some vacant land next to a church so the establishment can petition the government in a few years to be given ownership playing lots and lots of futbol http://www.travelblog.org/North-America/Mexico/Coahuila/Saltillo/blog-149474.html Mills Lake Elise my hiking buddy and I picked this hike because it's too long for the touristas 6 miles but not overly difficult since we'd both been out of Colorado at lower altitudes for school. We were NOT disappointed by this hike. On the way up much of the trail is beside a steam and then a waterfall. Other than about 100 yards against a bare rockface the remainder of the hike is in the forest http://www.travelblog.org/North-America/United-States/Colorado/blog-152976.html 3 Weeks in Greece 3 Weeks in GreecenbspEurope raquonbspGreece raquonbspAthens raquonbspAthens By K JMay 16th 2006K.J.H.This is a just a backlog journal I suppose getting my travelblog uptodate Last summer I went to Greece for three weeks on an Art History study tour.
