A rare window of opportunity has opened in my life and my desire to travel the world has finally become reality.
I have wanted to travel for many years not only to experience different cultures and lavish in some of the most beautiful sites in the world, but also to see the numerous friends i am so lucky to have round the world.
My travels will take me from Africa, to Asia, Australia, the US and Canada before returning home for Christmas.
The aim of the trip?? Discovery, in all its forms.
My trip starts in South Africa where i will spend 4 days on Safari before heading to Cape Town to hang with friends for a few days. If you are viewing this for the first time, then right now i am in san Francisco headingfor LA, Vegas, NJ and Canada.
I hope you enjoy reading about my adventures and i will do my best to upload pictures as often as i can.
Bon Voyage!

T'was the night before Christmas, when all through the house, not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse..... Well that's not strictly true...both dogs are snoring and Mr Jingles the field mouse has once again decided to take up residence under the fridge for Christmas! Yes you guess it, its Christmas eve....well the early hours of Christmas day now, and i am home safely. We finally took off in the early hours of Tuesday morning and i arrived at Heathrow yesterday morning. with only 2 hours of sleep in 48 hours and a cold from hell, i looked like someone had chewed my nose off, and didn’t make the glorious entrance home i had planned! Mum came to meet me at Heathrow, which was wonderful, and i arrived back a Hampton to an over excited

However as seems to be the theme of the trip....Bad Weather stopped me in my tracks....literally! Friday night saw me spending the night with Rob and Jen and having a wonderful time as expected. The following day i spent curled up in the couch in between frequent trips to the bathroom. NO i wasnt hung over, i was in fact suffering from what i think may have been a flu bug. It was a very non productive day on my part however i did really enjoy just stopping for 24 hours

The final entry will come on Monday. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Its been one hell of a trip from New Jersey but i am finally here! As many of you may have noticed the bad weather seems to be following me round the world! In Thailand i hit Monsoon season, It snowed in Southern Australia, was cold the whole two weeks in Sydney and they "hadn't had fog like it for years" in LA! It rained for 4 days straight in New Jersey so i wondered, as it was already snowing there, what on earth could happen in Canada? Going back a

The last entry described my time in San Francisco which i enjoyed, and have now added pictures to that blog. To view these just go to "previous entry" and follow it back for the two San Fran blogs. In fact there are now more picture from Sydney, San Fran and the Napa Vally! On the Monday i flew from SF to LA and got to the airport late! i was directed to the wrong terminal TWICE by the locals and ended up circum-navigating the entire airport before arriving at the designated check in 15 minutes before my flight was due to leave! Whilst zooming round the

I seem to have suffered slight jet lag this time round which was unexpected till i realised i had spent over a month in Australia which allowed me to aclimatise to their time zones! To date on this trip i have not really suffered with the time changes, mainly due to not being in one place long enough to get used to the times zones, however i have obviously settled into Auzzie time quite easily as the diff here has knocked me a little. i sat up till 4am this morning watching the film Hook....one of my faves as a child (hence the DVD at Frinton!) and didn't rise today till MID-DAY!! So i got my city guide and planned my day (well sort of) and headed

After an early start this morning i was collected from my hotel and driven off to the Pier to board the coach. There were around 25 of us on the day tour and a real mixed bunch. Nearly all of my organised tours to date have seen new friendships made and instant bonding with other like minded people. This trip however didnt offer either. The people were nice enough and hailed from all over the world but once again i was the only lone traveller and it remained that way for most of the tour. Our tour guide Ken was what i would call a very special person. A black guy with two Kids

A guy got killed in the surge for bargins in Wallmart, Christmas carols fill the speakers of every shop street and Avenue, and theres a 7ft2' Black dude acting as security at the counter of Burger king....... I can only be in AMERICA!! My last day in Sydney turned out to be a corker! (or "A Ripper" as Rach would say!) It was hot! We hit the beach, surfed, got the ferry into circular quay, then to Darling Harbour before having margaritas and watching the musical version of "Priscilla Queen of the Desert"! i had not seen the film before so the whole thing was new to me and i have to say, it was superb! I was crying

Its been a few days since th last entry and i have loads more to share with you. on Friday Fiona and i decided to feed our thrill seeking nature, and throw ourselves out of a plane! Yes we skydived over the beach from 14000 feet! This is something i have always wanted to do and i have to say, will be very hard to top! The theme of this trip seems to have become a "30 things to do before you die" check list and this has to be one of the scariest yet. Being Fiona's 4th dive she seemed relatively calm throughout the preparation process and plane journey, i on the other hand started to wonder quite early on what on earth i had let myself in for! The photos you see

I spent my last morning in Byron at circus school learning the static trapeze! i wanted to attend the flying trapeze class but they only ran on the Saturday and i wanted to head off down the coast that (Friday) afternoon so i had a private lesson on the static instead. It was great fun but reminded me how out of condition i was and MAN did it hurt!
