After dinner in the Willis kitchen.
2007 Trip to Missouri and back Judy & Jeff We had a bit of shopping to do today and went in to Newark to find what we needed. After returning to the campground, we found out that our wonderful friends had planned on taking us to their nearby home for dinner tonight! We were pleasantly surprised and looked forward to it. The drive was only about 20 minutes and we got to meet their son and grandson, who live next door to them. The dinner was wonderful and totall [View Full Entry]

This morning each of us had some things to do on their own. The guys made a trip to a nearby Radio Shack to get a few needed items. The gals stayed behind and did some things in the motorhomes and then again visited. When the guys came back, we all spent a laid back afternoon under our friend’s awning, just enjoying watching what was going on in the campground and relaxing. It was interesting to watch as many campers arrived for the weekend and got parked and set up. We decided to put together what we had brought for dinner [View Full Entry]

This corporate headquarters shows of the products they make!
We did a few housekeeping type things in the motorhome the early part of the day. Our friends arrived around noon. Although they had been at the Bounder rally with us in Berlin, we really didn’t get a chance to visit. That’s what we did this afternoon, under our awning, while enjoying some refreshments. When it was time for dinner, we decided to all go out to Miller’s Essenplatz, which is quite a nice Amish restaurant that our friends knew of. The location is near an unique building, which is the busines [View Full Entry]

This morning we packed up and left from the Amish area of Berlin, OH. We drove to Granville, OH to the Lazy River Campground, which is just to the East of Columbus, OH. This is a campground we’ve been to before with one of our Bounder clubs. We came here to spend a long weekend with good friends. We arrived a day early and decided to ride around and check out the area. The town of Granville is a very upscale town with interesting s [View Full Entry]

Coming out after dinner at Sugarcreek, OH.
Tuesday, which was our last day in the area, began at Heini's, which is a huge cheese factory. This is a place the buses go. It can get very crowded but we were lucky and it was not busy when we were there. They have free samples of all of their cheeses, including cream cheese fudge! We took the things we bought back to the motorhome before going out for another ride. I wanted to go to another campground in the area, Evergreen Park RV Resort to make reservations for us to co [View Full Entry]

Exercise gym in Coshocton

A 'new' friend who helped set up some of the exercise equipment.
Monday morning, we had planned to go to Coshocton, OH, so that I could exercise at a Silver Sneakers location, Colonial Sports’n Courts. I’d recommend that location highly as the personnel were very helpful. They also had quite a large variety of equipment. I was able to do most of my routine and quit only because I was really tired and hot. There was no moving air in there. The drive was a bit farther than I thought to get there but we enjoyed the scenery on the way. Coming back, we stopped in the town of Pearl at [url=" [View Full Entry]

After our Bounder rally was over, we moved to another camp site for the rest of our stay.
The weekend had just flown by. All of a sudden, it was Sunday morning and again our hosts provided breakfast at the campground. Soon the motor homes were packed up and on the road heading home or wherever they were going. This time, Jeff and I did not have to leave. We had made plans to stay for a few more days. Being Sunday in Amish country, the sidewalks are pretty much rolled up. We went to the nearby town of Millersburg, to a Wal-Mart, and then returned to the campground to rest and watch a NASCAR race. We just [View Full Entry]

Neighbors
The next rally comes in!

Saturday morning, our hosts provided breakfast at the campground. There was fresh fruit, muffins, juice and coffee. There were four local chapters present so time had been set aside for chapters who wanted to hold meetings to do so. Then it was off to check out more of the area again before we gathered at The Farmstead Restaurant in Berlin again for a buffet Amish dinner. I guess I was more tired than I thought. It takes a lot of energy to have all this fun! At dinner I felt myself start to fade and did lose most of my energy. [View Full Entry]

The next morning was the first ‘official’ event of the weekend. The hosts had arranged for us to have breakfast at The Farmstead Restaurant in Berlin. It was a fantastic buffet spread and was another opportunity to visit with the gang. After eating, everyone went their different directions. We went to the little town of Charm so that I could check out Millers Dry Goods, a wonderful quilt/fabric shop. As usual, their selection was outstanding. Then we had heard that [View Full Entry]

Thursday morning, we headed out of the campground rather early for a nearby, large, indoor Amish Flea Market. It’s quite a place. We’ve been going to it for years and have always found something we just couldn’t live without. This is a ‘new’ merchandise type of flea market and not the type that sells garage sale items. After walking all thru the flea market, I wanted to go nowhere but back to our rig to rest. When we got back, we saw that a lot of others had arrived, so instead of just sitting around an [View Full Entry]
