After taking a four hour bus ride from Santa Marta on the north coast of Colombia I arrive at the national park entrance & decided to walk to the beaches which is a bit of a mistake even at 4 or 5 pm in the afternoon through jungle trails and off road paths. Most visitors here seem to take the jeep from the park entrance and then a 20 or 30 minute horse ride through the thick trails to fins the unexplored coves and bays of this great park. What started out as a tranqiul day taking fotos around the seaside town of Santa Marta on my way to the national park led me to the street celebrations & fiestas that is carnaval here in Colombia.
