Hilary told me to write something
But I don't know what to say! It has been lovely to read your messages from Shanghai: you lucky girl to have such a lovely experience so early in life especially as far away as China! You can dine out on your memories for the rest of your life, like I have done with my wonderful trips with my adventurous ordinary Lancashire working-class parents from the age of seven! Bye-bye, Sweetheart. D x

Hey again!
Hey hun! I am extremely jealous as your trip looks so exciting and the kids are sooo cute! Hope you are well and enjoying China so far?...all is good here - we have finally moved house (think I texted you the new address so hope you got it?) and its brill although lacking in furniture! When you are back we must have you over to stay and for a night out in sheffield. Let me know how you are getting on anyway. Take care and lots of love, Rachxx

Response to Hayley's comment
I also named Peter - he didn't have an English name when he joined the class so I had to name him and that was the first thing that came into my head! haha. But he is an awful child, he refuses to speak english apart from mumbling - but I was proud of him the other day coz he said "mayo pencil"! Which means I don't have a pencil. Yey! Good plan on the crown front though... x

Day out in Jewish neighbourhood
Wow. So glad you alerted me to to check this blog again. I hadn't realised there were several pages of pics. Fantastic! I've printed off a picture of the bird in the box and will try to identify it. MUM XXX

Crowded Streets
It seems to me like Ninjang Road must be a bit like Christmas shopping. However you said that there's always lots of shop assistants so maybe the queues at the tills aren't so bad! It might be worth going to look for those gardens again sometime as the chinese are famous for lovely gardens. Love mum. xxx
