It was a very different experience.First of all we got into the Prague train station late and had to figure out how to get to the subway and buy tickets. This required taking the Czech koruna pronounced crown out of the atm. Taking Czech money out was like sticking your card in the machine and having the monopoly game spit money back out at you. I took out 3000 Kor http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/Czech-Republic/Prague/blog-382897.html Munich I am in love with Munich. Im glad we decided to stay there the longest. As one of our tourguides told us Munich is the coolest German city because everything considered culturally German comes from Bavaria Munich is the capital of Bavaria...aka Lederhosen beer the funny hats with feathers etc. We did see many people dressed up in these outfits and we did see many people drinking beer. Firs http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/Germany/Bavaria/Munich/blog-381586.html Berlin platz Berlin Berlin Berlin.....it was a very interesting trip thats for sure. Dave and I arrived to an extremely nice hostel that was barely a year old converted out of an old beer house. Very cool. We walked around looking for lunch and found a little farmers market and ate disgusting currywurst...Dave told me this was just a special type of sausage but actually turned out to be bratwurst covered in cu http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/Germany/District-of-Berlin/Berlin/blog-380469.html Kln Typing on a German keyboard is extremely frustrating. It consists of a lot of backspacing which just makes it worse because the backspace button is small and misplaced. Very annoying. The z and the y are also switched so I might just get to a point where they will be switched in the entry and thats that.Onto Cologne...Dave and I initially slept through the train that we were supposed to catch firs http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/Germany/North-Rhine-Westphalia/Cologne/blog-379622.html Amshterdaam Thank goodness for free internet. I'm sitting in the brand new library that's behind out hostel houseboat. It's extremely nice and they have free computers and internet everywhere. I'm sitting on a bed of cushions typing this. Dave and i have been here for about 3 hours. In our hostel we are sleeping in bunks that overlap each other and are no more than 2 feet wide if that. Our room is probabl http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/Netherlands/North-Holland/Amsterdam/blog-379134.html Merci Oui Oui 3rd day in Paris...it's an amazing city. I have extremely limited time on this computer because Paris is the king of expensive. Dave and I have done ridiculous amounts the past couple days. Neither of us can feel our legs and Dave can't feel his feet. We walked all over the city yesterday and saw the famous sites came in contact with some not so sly pick pockets. Dave is hilarious because i'm not http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/France/Ile-de-France/Paris/blog-378550.html Kate Leo After a fantastic Saturday Sabrina and I took our time getting to Leicester Square on Sunday. We had planned to get there about noon but stopped for thai food and coffee on the way. We ended up there around 3. They were still setting up some of the fences around the cinema but there were some areas completely caged so that people could sit and wait for the red carpet to arrive. There were two bo http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/United-Kingdom/England/Greater-London/Soho/blog-364793.html I saw Josh Harnett I went and saw Josh Harnett. That is all.No not really. He was in the Rainman and he played charlie babbit. And he took his shirt off. That's all I remember. http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/United-Kingdom/England/Greater-London/Soho/blog-354712.html Seven Pounds Premier One of the great things about London is the opportunity to go to movie premiers and battle the crowds to see famous people. Completely worth it. The twilight premier was cool because i just showed up after work to see the stars because i was reading the book Will was planned. Sabrina Alyse and I planned to meet up after work and see Will Smith. I got off work at 430 and headed home to change. http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/United-Kingdom/England/Greater-London/Soho/blog-363962.html Oh NO it's SNOWING London has absolutely no preparations for snow. The most they get is a light dusting on any occasion. At this moment I'm looking out my window from work and would say we have about 4 inches. People are freaking out. I would say about 10 people have come into work today and half of those have left. Alyse got sent home because there was no one there to let anyone in. Every line on the tube has been http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/United-Kingdom/England/Greater-London/blog-369594.html One second in Brighton I stayed in Brighton for approximately 5 minutes.Saturday morning I watched the weather segment of the news and saw a huge cloud over the entire southern portion of the country. Bad winds and rain summed up the weather report. We went to Brighton anyway. It took about 45 minutes to reach the southern city of Brighton. We figured we were all layered up and had brought our umbrellas we would be fi http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/United-Kingdom/England/East-Sussex/Brighton/blog-354202.html Twilight Movie Premiere httpwww.telegraph.co.uknewsnewstopicscelebritynews3546582TwilightpremierefansbravecoldtoseeRobertPattinsonandKristenStewart.htmlThe great thing about London...movie premieres. i was there and it was FREEZING. but amazing all the same http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/United-Kingdom/England/Greater-London/Covent-Garden/blog-351165.html Treasure Island Tonight we went and saw Treasure Island with tickets from work. It got really bad ratings online but for Alyse and me it was another show to say we've seen. We got to the theater and got tickets 3 rows away from the stage and no one sat around us. It was a tiny theater so we were pretty much on the stage once again. The show revolved around pirates and treasure surprise surprise. It was a show http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/United-Kingdom/England/Greater-London/Piccadilly/blog-348286.html Thank goodness I'm not British We went to Harrods for high tea. I don't like tea. I went for the experience. Harrods is a ridiculous store with everything you can possibly imagine in it. The food court looks like a willy wonka restaurant and the pet shop is filled with designer dog gear. The bathrooms had personal mirrors for everyone so everyone and all their friends could each have a stool to and shelf and mirror to do whatev http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/United-Kingdom/England/Greater-London/South-Kensington/blog-347562.html Eataly Rome Day 3 Although we had an incredibly long day the day before the girls and I were up bright and early. Learning from our mistakes we did not stop by breakfast this morning. Instead we headed to the little cafe we had seen that had everything a girl could want. My breakfast consisted of a chocolate croissant and a double shot of espresso. Amazing. I was finished before we even got out the door. It was http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/Vatican-City/Vatican-City/blog-346182.html When in Rome...Walk 13 hours the second half of our 13 hr walk The best part of my lunch was the orange juice I saw squeezed into my glass. The rest I could have done without including the baby octopus calamari which was from a different batch than I had ordered It brought back bad memories from Charleston and a particular present from the sushi chef...yuckAfter lunch we headed towards the Pantheon. It's so crazy how in the middle of random plazas with eve http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/Italy/Lazio/Rome/blog-354714.html When in Rome....walk for 13 hours. The first 5 hours of day 2 Friday morning we were up early to get a jump on the day. My boots had somewhat dried with the help of the hairdryer overnight but I spent another 45 minutes with the dryer until they were at least walkable. Our hostel provided a free breakfast for us and I got so excited when they had cocoa pebbles. I sadly found out after an excessively large first bite that they were not in fact cocoa pebbles b http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/Italy/Lazio/Rome/blog-346180.html Rome in my squishy boots Day 1 Rome I donrsquot even know where to start with Rome. It was the most magnificent place Irsquove ever been and we made so many memories in the short 3 days that we were there. I guess Irsquoll start with Wednesday night or technically Thursday morning. Our bus left London at 308 am. The group of girls I went with the same group from Wales decided to go out to bars I decided to take a na http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/Italy/Lazio/Rome/blog-346178.html It Rains in Wales Part II I slept amazing 730 rolled around and I was up and ready to go horseback riding. My outfit consisted of a weatherproof tshirt thermal longsleeve shirt thermal long johns jeans wool socks and a coat. Nice and toasty. Breakfast was put on by the hotel and was a traditional British breakfast including eggs toast baked beans sausage and some sort of tomato gook. The sausage was unlike any http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/United-Kingdom/Wales/Brecon/blog-346175.html It rains in Wales Wales was a very windy and wet trip. I went with Alyse Sabrina Jessi Andrea and Emma all girls from the hostel. We started off leaving London around 830 Saturday morning heading for Chepstow Wales. We crossed the river into Wales and the sky immediately turned gloomy. The coach sponsored by Bunac made various stops on the way to the Brecon Beacon national park. Chepstow was our first sto http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/United-Kingdom/Wales/Brecon/blog-344039.html
