Thanks for reading corrijene. :-) I don´t write as often as I´d like to, mostly because I´ve been so busy here. Also, next week I´ll be travelling so I don´t know when I will have a chance. Scotty, I can´t wait to get back to the mundane, often unmotivated cycle of american life. Theres comfort in complacency, no? :-)

hello from cali - From: nameless
I love reading people's travel journals. It's recently become sort of a hobby of mine. I'll be where you are in about 2 months from today. I am in a campus abroad program at my school for fall 05. How long do you plan to stay in Spain? Will you write often? I've found other journals where the travellers only write once every year or so. I hope to see more from you. You make it sound so relaxing and comforting, and although there may be no reason, I see it in your writings. Enjoy yourself!

the sky is beautiful....isnt it ? - From: nameless
ah, yes ,today is tuesday and i feel an over serge in love and being . one could almost say that under neath the same sky , we are one and never really apart . our atoms are just a huge ball of...of ... crap , stiring and moving and our eyes have created an egg drop soup of images for us to precieve . One could almost feel warmth in that knowing or feel like vomiting , which ever. and in the end ....in the end....wait a minute ... your the one in madrid . i'm the guy sitting at a computer waiting (read dying)for another day to come where work sucks and my back feels like a twig underneath a birds dirty ass . i'm not allowed to have a moment of being one with myself ...oh how i envy you . Arent you just dying to come home to all of this ....?love ya man .

Your phone sucks - From: nameless
Every time I call your phone now it just gives me a long hum noise. As if it’s trying to dial, but gets stuck on the first tone. I tried calling a few times last week, and a few times this morning already (Monday August 1st). Hopefully others can get through and I am the only idiot who can't dial a number.

Your Journey - From: nameless
It looks like you've realized one of life's mysteries....sometimes we need to detach ourselves to see just how truly connected we all really are and that words can't teach this, only experience. We can only hope the world could come to this realization, what a wonderful place this would be.

trying to keep on topic - From: Practicar
it was good to hear from you again. i was so used to posting almost everyday that i was surprised when i didn't get an email from you over the weekend, then i remembered that you were going to barcelona. sounds like you had an excellent trip even though you had some misgivings before going. can't wait to see all your pictures now. not much else going on here though, just the same old things. i'll write again when i have something more interesting to talk about. ciao. ps.-for all the ff league members, now that the league is set up i will be posting the what not's on the league message boards. i will not be posting anymore ff news on here as the majority of the people in here reading this stuff couldn't care less. i will try to post something at least once a week to keep everybody in the loop of what is happening.

Sounds like I can relate to your Pierre feeling, and I guess you have been through it before. That reminds me of when Dave left our office. It really drained the office moral and life. It always hurts to lose someone like that, because they can't ever be replaced :( Oh I have tried to call some more but I cannot even get through to voice mail now!!!

Barcelona - From: Back in Black
I don´t believe was the capitol, at one time it was Toledo, but the city outgrew the small area it encompased. Madrid has only been the capitol for a few hundred years.... spain is in all kinds of political turmoil though, with the Cataluynan´s in Barcelona and the Basques in the west both vying for independance.

Stuff I don't know how I know - From: Back in Black
I might be wrong, but I think Barcelona was at one time the capital of Spain. I'm sure I heard that on Jeporady or the History Channel or something to that effect. So here's the $64,000 question cause I'm pig and everybody knows that: are the chicks hotter in Spain or are Latina woman here better? Look at me always thinking with my dong. Have fun, the blogs are great, and enjoy this experience. I'm lucky if I can to Orlando let alone another country. Talk to you soon.

Stinky Magoo says he likes it . - From: going to california
Oh,isn't that the only way it goes. For some would be travelers say that within their short journy's lay the sickness known as TripRuina.I,for one, have felt the effects of this dubious germ on many occasion . And for those of you who know my wife ,well.... you know theres a much more serious sickness known clearly as SickWifeInsanum and what a horrible thing that is . So , what i am getting at my dear BILBO is , I feel your pain .NOw , as for the agents of S.H.I.E.L.D you have surrounded yourself with , the only thing I can tell you is to start wearing an eye patch and heavily smoke cigars or go with telling everyone your real name is El GUAPO and you have a plethora of pinata's . Love ya man , till next time ....

Hey J, I'm glad you are having a good time even if you are sick, whatever you do, don't waste away your trip at home...Unless you are studying. Did you bring your digital camera, can you post some so that we have a visual for your posts?? :) ok, diviertete, saludos y abrazos, Cristina y Eric

sorry johnny - From: going to california
no phonecalls for you! sorry to hear that you're sick, but there's a simple solution to that. just give your cold to as many people as you can, then it will be spread out so far that you should be able to easily overpower it. at least that's my theory anyway. i hope you have fun on your trip to barcelona, can't wait to hear all about it. i would appreciate it though if you would show my post about the fantasy football league that i typed after your last journal when you get the chance, this is the easiest way to communicate with everyone since we all have different schedules and stuff. later john. ps-scott if you would like to reread my post about my work schedule, you will notice that i was not complaining, just apologizing for my lack of internet activity. i'm sorry that i don't have a crappy job that i hate like some other people, but i've actually been having fun at work the past 2 weeks. maybe next time you have a comment on one of my posts, you'll just drink a nice cold glass of shut the hell up instead.

Get well soon - From: going to california
Hi, What great writing!!! Your entries are very enjoyable to read. Sorry you are feeling sick. Could it be the effects of the liver tort you ate? Anyway, drink juice and get some rest. Be careful. If you come across any interesting things for my European history class- buy them and I will reimburse you. Postcards are great, replicas as well. Anything on Phillip II (Felipe II), Isabella I (her sidekick Ferdinand is marginal) or their son Charles V, Napoleon, art by Goya... We love and miss you. I am going to Michigan on Tuesday, as grandpa isn't well. He had a tumor removed from his bladder, but we haven't got the test results back as yet. Rachel will be "babysitting" for Chris :( or :). We'll give Danielle a call. Take care and be aware (I'm sure you heard that there was more trouble in London) I'm so proud of you and happy that you are having this experience. Love your mummy.

Spanish phone service sucks - From: going to california
I tried your number again, and the same rude lady refused to speak English to me! I called around 5pm, which would be 11pm your time I believe. Perhaps you were in bed already, out drinking, or perhaps even studying!!!!!! Well I hope your feeling better. Just a little update from Evolved, Lock-on Gold went into manufacturing yesterday and I am submitting a bowling title to Sony for PS2. The bowling game is quite good for a budget PS2 title. I bought some of the other bowling titles on Xbox and PS2 and they all sucked. Hopefully Sony approves it. I just finished putting together ALL THE PAPER WORK for submission; what fun. Later…

Hey Johnny, I called your phone and I got some Spanish lady speaking to me in a non-Mike speaking language. She read me back the number I dialed, which I cleverly decipher thanks to living in south Florida. Then she started rambling fast…blah blah blah…then I heard a beep so I left a message perhaps; or I was just a stupid gringo talking to himself on the phone? I think I got the hang of calling international numbers by now, but just to throw it by you I dialed 011-34-667-261-888. FYI, I got floor tickets for me and my cousin to go see NIN, w0000000000000t.

what, did you bump into confucious or something this weekend? sorry i haven't been on in a while but i've been really busy at work lately. i'm putting in 40 hour weeks ffor the next couple of weeks. guess that's the price you pay when you volunteer for a blockbuster video death squa... errr, i mean conversion team, yeah that's what i mean. anywho, sounds like you've had some stumbling blocks your first week, but i'm sure you are more than capable of overcoming them. good luck and study hard! ps.- sorry i haven't gotten around to sending anyone some fantasy footbal invites yet, i've just been too busy lately. between my 40 hour workweeks and trying to get online between my dad's drafts i've managed to accumulate about 7 minutes of internet time this week. but soon everyone, very soon...
