The Crossroads of Faith
A wonderful description and photographs of this remarkable city - glad that you were finally able to see, hear and experience it for yourself.

Fantastic blog, photos and information
It is good to be out on your own for a bit. Glad the exploring is going well. Hopefully, the pools will help. Water has curative powers. Your are on a real journey.

Thanks MJ!
Yes it felt weird to be on my own again at first but I fell back into the quick thinking and figuring out "how to get where" on my own. I'm having a great time. Headed home early the 15th though! Can't wait for your next blog :)

I will also be praying for healing your spine...
Visiting Jerusalem means so much more to those who have faith and know the Bible stories...you know what to look for and what it means. Just to be able to stand among the 2000 year old olive trees in the Garden of Gethsemene and realize that this is where Jesus knelt in anguish among these same trees is overwhelming!

Thanks Bob/Linda!
Yes it really is something even more special for people who know the scriptures and can use these sites to further worship Him. Even if they're not the exact sites, its the meaning behind what happened here thats important. You have my heart felt thanks for your prayers! I'm truly thankful

Look at this!
Seems like it is a good thing you are flying back to the US soon. It will be horrible for travellers, if Israel bombs Iran, while they are in Israel/Palestine, and maybe dangerous too. http://www.scoop.co.nz/stories/HL1208/S00059/israel-likely-to-strike-iran-before-november.htm

Security checks
I too was allowed to pass through the Wall by just flashing my Australian Passport cover, however, the Palestinians had a much tougher time in terms of searches and delays. I was subjected to rather detailed questioning on arriving at Ben Gurion Airport, but that paled compared to the extremely thorough baggage searches and questioning I endured when departing the country from the same airport.

hmm thats weird you had more trouble leaving the country than entering. But yes, the Palestinians do have it rough in terms of traveling. Its sad considering how long they've lived on this land

You've become a foody!
Hope you will do more food blogs. Love it! Can you arrange for us to meet her parents and take a cooking class from them? No disclaimer needed. It sounds like your palate has become educated. You are having an amazing life experience.

Nice blog! :)
I will be getting to try some exotic middle eastern food soon, because I am going to Israel in October. An Israeli member of TravelBlog gave me a list of Falafal and Hummous restaurants that he says only the locals go to. He says they are the best ones, but hard to find, because the menus are not in English. The list is posted by him on the following thread, in case you want it too. http://www.travelblog.org/Topics/18588-1.html
