The Bra Wire Run I'm glad you enjoyed the rideout, and you liked the sound of my exhaust can as and early warning to hang on... You know what I mean don't you?
The Bra Wire Run Come on Charlie, Cross dressing.... Humn, not quite me, although Dawn up in Orkney did once tell me I'd look good in a Bask... that drums up thoughts of the Rocky Horror Picture Show don't it hee hee?
bras & bikers... AWWWWwww,
great story but when i saw the title i thought there was gonna be some steam lol!
(or if not some hot metal action at least a bit of hairy bikers cross dressing!)

Mounting difficulties.... well, you know... sometimes it's very difficult to mount in a ladylike manner - especially when wearing 9 layers of clothes!! (and being of a vertically challenged persuasion...
Bless 'im Keven was patience personified! (especially at the 'thawing out' break - thank you to Kate for helping me to get me leg over - when she'd stopped laughing - when it was time to come back!) Good job we weren't on and offing a lot poor soul was almost flat out on that tank!
Hmmm Well some people do like a leg stretch whilst others feed there faces :).
Took me 33 years to get like this I don't want to loose it in an afternoon.
Great ride out thou John see you Friday
Egg Run Hi Shaz,
Thanks for the comments, I too was on my first Egg Run and I must admit it was overwhelming. I was well down the pack and what a fantastic sight I had at one point as I looked down on the machines in front of me, I wouldn’t have missed it for anything.
Yes I saw the “T” shirts and noted the dates on them but never mind, the day went well and funds were raised for the kids. I was very impressed with James Toseland and the patience he had for everyone. My branch secretary toured the wards with James at the hospital and told us later about James spending time with all the kids Very impressive.
I’ve got a couple of events coming up with the bike, in just over a fortnight I’m doing the Bike Safe course with the SY police then on 24th June I’ll be up at the Transport Rally in Sheffield along with a few other members of the Honda Owners Club. After these I just plan to ride the bike and dive the dives.
Safe riding,
John.
First time I have been on egg run. Absolutely brilliant although a little on the slow side. About 8 of us had T/shirts printed with Sheffield Egg Run and date on the front (but my son in law who printed them got the date wront 25th instead of 24th March) but never mind. On the back was Toseland 52 which he very kindly signed for all of us. Will be back next year.
Re DIVING EQUIPMENT No Mal, the Rebreather stays at home. The problem is weight and also the cylinder. I could get it shipped out but then I'll have to lug it about with me through Malaysia and Thailand. I'm planning to dive in Phukett as well so all in all, I'm going to be better off back on open circuit SCUBA. Even so, I'll still be carrying over 20kg of kit with me.
Born August 1956 and grew up and lived in South Yorkshire all my life. I've worked as a Labourer, Excavator Driver, Heavy Goods Vehicle Mechanic and currently a HGV Driver. Now divorced but have two grown up children, Mark and Michelle and three Grandchildren, Keane, Aliyah and Heath. Last but not least, "man's best friend" and mine, my German Shepherd Dog "Chet" who welcomes me back from any trip I go away on and every morning I return home from night shift.
My main hobby over the last 11-years has been SCUBA Diving but in more recent years I’ve got back into my love of motor bike ridin... full info
