John and Max's Guestbook

You have to love Paris
Your narrative brought me back to when I was there, ages ago, and visited the same places. I loved the Rodin museum - went back several times and spent hours in the garden. I didn't know he did water colors and I imagine they are still displayed. And Napolean's Tomb - looks like the tomb of a guy with a major ego, and Les Invalides and Musee D'Orsay. What a collection of art. I don't think there is anything that compares to it in this country. Isn't Paris beautiful?

As a person who is \"reader\", i must say that I really enjoy your writing. We spent the last week of May and the first week of June in Paris 5 years ago. We some very light rain and very few lines and we loved it.

Cut off...
I can't read the entire caption for The Gates of Hell, The Bound Slave, and the new installation--help! I don't want to miss a single word of your sparkling recount of Day Two in Paris! What a lovely time you're having. :-)

cut-off captions
Hi Jan, I don't know what to do about that; I also noticed it. Travelblog takes forever to answer and usually it is not helpful. I'll check to see if there is a way to make the font smaller.

Aran
I'm really enjoying traveling vicariusly through you. Galway, Kilkenny - some of my best memories from my trip there. Did you know that the wool used for Aran knit sweaters mostly comes from New Zeland because the Irish sheeps' wool is too coarse? So said the vendor in a Galway shop where I bought Anne one. Sliante!

The Tiny Gold Boat

The Gold Boat Inspired my Business!
Maybe you've already encountered my littlegoldboat on various platforms. It's the internet handle for Gold Boat Journeys: Live. Write. Travel. Explore. In any case, just wanted to add my vote for the gold boat. It's one of the most intricate and inspiring archeological treasures I've ever seen, and the story of how it was discovered just adds to the beauty. Happy sails!
