LAKE AT FUSSEN
In 1971 I was in the Army stationed in Munich and took a bicycle trip down to Innsbruck and came back through Fussen and spent the night in the same campground along the lake. It was one of the coldest nights I ever spent, but the sky was clear and I could see millions of stars. In the morning there was a light fog and as I looked back towards the town I could only see the tops of the mountains to the SW. It was so memorable that about ten years later I saw an exhibit of paintings at a library and one of the works reminded me of that sight and sure enough the artist told me it was that same view.
