Hello hello again!!!!!!!!!!!! So I am on the ending days of my UK part of my travels & thought I had better fill you in on what has been happening for the past month. I’m sorry for the lack of timeliness of this blog but it is increasingly hard to find internet connections (and time) to get to do these. Ok, so my original blog got lost in space somewhere so I will attempt to re-create what happened so u can have the pics & some story all in one go! How lucky are you?!!!!! Everything went well with my final day of work at O’Reilly’s Pub on Danforth Ave. they even gave me a little send off with a present & everything. It was really sweet. The whole leaving thing went a lot easier than expected too with my boss being fine about me leaving. I was impressed by it all but it all became a little daunting that I was actually leaving my newly adopted country.. where I had set up my little life for the past 4 months. Hi all! So i went to my first scream fest tonight. The Much Music Video Awards 2007 where the biggest names of the show were Fergie, Hilary Duff and Avril Lavigne.. well the biggest names that you would know of anyways. Its was kinda gay and we left about 30 mins after it had started as we were at the pop stage & didnt realise the rock stage was down the road... so left. It was on TV anyways live so it seemed better to do that. But i am glad to say that i survived all the screamin 13 to 16 year olds. I felt so old there. Hello all once again.. Firstly I will start by hoping that one & all are well and enjoying life as much as I am at the moment. And now to the topic of conversation... My mummy & daddy came to see me!!!!! YAY!!!! M&D arrived on 21 May in Vancouver so I flew over to see them. Half way through the flight I just started balling my eyes out I was so excited. Not to mention when I actually saw them. It was so nice to have them there with me so I could show them the country I have been spending most of my time in. Hey all, sorry for taking so long at gettin these on here but has been a little hectic at my end. Have moved out into a house just near where i was living before at the hostel so been busy tryin to get that organised plus workin 4 days a week and then Ken (AFS boss) has just piled a whole lot of work on me so yeah, just a little crazy at the moment. Its currently 4am & i dont quite know why i am still up considering i worked all day yesterday however i do have the day off today so will enjoy the sleep in... what i get of it anyways. Lots to do. Hi all, Well after 3 weeks of cold, snow and rain we finally have some semi decent weather in Toronto. A balmy 22 degress today. Still a little chilly in the cold but in the sun it is mighty hot. Can actually wear less than 6 layers for a change AND short sleeves! It is great.. but is apparently short lived because the cold is forecast again for next week but I will enjoy it while we have it. So, its been a little while since I last wrote. Not a whole lot has been going on. Just kicking into life in the grand city Toronto. Canada oh Canada… ay… Yes, they do (well the majority of em anyways) do say ‘ay’ on the end of their sentences. Weird! OK, so am lovin Canada from what I have seen, which is not a whole lot, but am still lovin it anyway. Took the train from Vancouver to Edmonton on Friday. An overnighter which is where I wrote my last blog from. However it wasn’t a bad trip. The seats were reasonable comfy & they cave you lilttle pillows & blankets and eye masks to make your trip that little bit more confortable. Anyway, got to see lots of ice. And I mean lots with a capital L. All, well pretty much all, of the rivers and lakes were still frozen over and those that weren’t were still partially covered with ice. Fields ... read more

I apologise for the lack of photos however as I have previously mentioned, LA was WAY too smoggy and Canada… well all I’ve seen so far is rain! Amongst me freezing my bum off, Canada has been reasonable good. It is very much like Australia in a lot of way’s but in particular just how the people are… friendly & just generally nice which was a HUGE change from that of LA and Hollywood. So, I guess to start where I left off.. Arrived in LA, my hostel was in Hollywood which was pretty cool. There is not all the much to tell other than yeah I had a good time in amongst the smog & the homeless people begging for money everywhere! Ok, from the beginning. Flew out of Auckland on the Sunday. Couldn’t really be bothered doing anything that day so just hung around the hostel pretty much. Wandered around outside a bit but that was all. Was kinda lucky that I asked about a shuttle to the airport a little earlier than I was going to because I assumed it would take about half an hour to get to the airport but it takes an hour… so left straight away (about 3:30pm) to the airport. Rocked up at the airport exactly 2 hours before my flight.. as is recommended. Qantas had 2 flights leaving about the same time, each flight with about 200 ppl boarding it. But the silly thing on their behalf was they only had 4 check-in thingys open to put us all ... read more

Hi all.. Well I'm in Las Vegas at the moment but thought i would fill you in on what has happened as my journey around the island of clouds came to an end. I'm gonna make this a quick one coz its 4am in the morning & need to check out of here by 12 tomorrow... Right, I left off in Wellington. I was leaving for Napier the following day. Right, went to the Te Papa Museum in the morning. It was amazing & there was a lot of cultural & not so cultural (shearing sheep.. my gosh!) exhibition things going on.
