All aboard the night train
All aboard the night train
From Kuala Lumpur to Kota Bharu
We caught the night train to Kota Bharu which took 14 hours in total, people would think the train would be very uncomfortable but I was surprised to find I slept throughout the journey -the beds were rather small considering my heaight but luckily we didn't have any people snoring within the carriage. Once we arrived in Kota Bharu I was fresh to see the place... so that morning I took a wonder to Central Market which is housed in a mordern octagonal building, it looked wonderful all brightly coloured displaying local produce - fruit & spices. From Central Market [View Full Entry]

Kuala Lumpur

Asia » Malaysia » Selangor » Kuala Lumpur
Arrived into KL and it was absolutely chucking it down - never seen so much rain come down in a day. The streets and roads were flooded and traffic was moving so slow. We found a hostel called Red Dragon in Chinatown and stayed there for 3 nights which was a clean room and basic room which did us fine. We did all the tourist things like visit the twin towers - which look spectacular at night then onto the Menara for a 360 degree view over KL from there we headed onto Medeka Square which was beautiful, the gardens [View Full Entry]

Grrrrr... lucky enough I'm off to Thailand so I'll befriend a thai and ask them to help change it to English (fingers crossed!!) Took 5 hours to get to Melaka [View Full Entry]

Wow Bali, it was a little suggestion at first after looking at a world map and put the question out 'what do you girls think about a side trip to Bali?' and surprisingly Louise & Katy were both up for it - I was well impress for 100 quid we managed to get a return flight from Singapore to Bali! When am I ever going to get a chance like that! Ideal oppertunity to put my underwater camera to the test aswell :) Bali is not the honeymooner's place to visit - far from if you ask me but I [View Full Entry]

Oh my god so now I'm like over half way through my trip and I'm starting my travels through S.E Asia - unbelievable, time is wizzing by. After a tiresome 21 hours of flying / transitting at airports I arrived into Singapore Airport grabbed a taxi to Chinatown and caught a few Zzzzzzz Singapore is actually really nice but 3 days is deffinately enough time to see/do everything unless you wanna shop for England you can spend months here!! I shopped alittle along Orchard Road (who wouldn't) but not for clothes - I got my self a gadget for my [View Full Entry]

At Nadi Bay Hotel on our first night in Fiji
Flew across to Fiji on the 10th March arrived into Nadi Airport we were welcomed proper Fijian stylee with people playing exoctic Fijian music as you step off the aircraft. Fiji was absolutely stunning felt like I was on a proper holiday - we spent the one night on Nadi then nice an early the following day we headed off to catch the flyer boat with our Bula Passes in hand to make our journey to the furthest island away (Nucula) which took 4 hours. The Journey wasn't too bad, I did feel a little sea sick but to be [View Full Entry]

Black water caving in Greymouth
For some reason I'm becoming a complete adrenaling junkie!! anything with a fear factor I'm there wanting to do it!!! Loving the whole feeling of getting outside your comfort zone... Black water caving was an experience - I'm not a lover of tight enclosed spaces and when your trying to get through a tiny hole and you think to yourself 'there is no way I'm going to fit through that' you have to just push yourselve and with a few twists'n' turns of the body - by magic you squeeze yourself through. The tightest hole we had to squeeze through had [View Full Entry]

Finally another country.... now i feel like I'm REALLY travelling! Australia was fun - alot of fun but I reckon New Zealand will be better - I have that gut feeling but i reckon thats partly due to knowing its not going to evolve around getting pissed most nights like in Oz! After arriving from Perth to Melbourne airport I had to spend 8 hours waiting for my flight out to Christchurch - so got myself a book & my sarong out of my back pack and made myself as comfy as possible on the airport metal chairs then waited and [View Full Entry]
