aaawww all good things must come to an end, so unfair!!
I've enjoyed catching up on your adventures as you've globe trekked (well not quite, it sounds good) and I shall miss checking each day for an update!!.
See you in the new year Bridget!!!
Great entry chaps. Very jealous, Chile looks fantastic. Top marks for the glacier shot by the way - beautiful colours. Look forward to reading about Argentina - don't mention the war.
Now then Jezzer.... From reading your blogs one would assume that our Bridge is the one whose a little delicate, you know all those comments about her being sick etc.....however a little birdie told me that you had to get a lift on the support/emergency horse on the final stretch of the Inca trail whilst you left Bridget to hike up the remainder with all the bags?!! GO GO BRIDGET you could never take the Venture scout out of a girl!!!
Jez - I see you found Gravity and the WMDR! Great fun in the torrential rain that I did it in! Not being able to see through the goggles for the mud and because they were misted up made even more fun at break neck speed!
Brakers cramp! Bridge, you have a soul mate in Lou. She was getting cramp in her fingers from braking so hard when we biked down! I am very disappointed you missed the Tony Hadley photo op. You'll know for next time....
Real McCoy Hi guys,
Only just caught up with your blog, great to read through all the places we've been to - and even better the ones we missed!! We did make it to the pub you mentioned though. (A few home comforts go down well every now and again eh?!) Your inca trail sounds pretty cool - hard work though isn't it? Anyway, hope you are both well, we have now subscribed, so will watch the rest of your trip with interest!
Love Matt and Lou
Hi guys.
Thought you might like to know that it was actually Neil Armstrong who named it the 'Valley Of The Moon' when he visited it once (presumably 'cos it reminded him of the moon!)
Hi Bridget and Jez... I was only recently informed of your Blog which is highly entertaining! Sounds like the two of you really are having the trip of a lifetime! All went well with our splicing plans Brig, we had a glorious summer's day for the event (infact possible the only summer's day this year!) and a smashing time half city breaking in Glasgow and half hiking in the peace and tranquility of the Highlands (I'm sure you would love the place we went to Brig, must give you details on your return, a sweet little croft in the middle of nowhere - perfect!). For now it's back to the chaotic reality on the modern and somewhat shagged out NHS/SS and I shall have to content myself with news of your travels, as well turn a shocking shade of green while reading!
Enjoy and stay safe!

p.s. The email refers to my middle name which I don't think I have previously disclosed so no mick taking!
Jeremy- Pics are great. Looks like all the jungleb trekking is taking it's toll though- your paunch has nearly disappeared!!!
Just to let you (and anyone else who cares) know- Angela and I are getting married next August 23.
Andrew.
Jealousy! Hi Guys, hope you got my email! Your blog is really entertaining, I see the possibility of new career options of Travel Writers!!! Wish I could be there exploring the Inca trail with you! See you when you get back, let's go out for a meal! Amy x
What a Surprise... Stuart, a likely story! What are you like?! At least you got on the right plane! We are both loving your Lima work as we drink tea in sunny Kilburn on Gina's birthday! Hope you enjoyed the condors and canyons. Bye for now. xx
Another enjoyable geography lesson, thank you!
I think those warrior guys in the frieze are quite cute!
So does this mean you wont be moaning about our public transport ever again???!!! Have you ever actually tried it?!
lomo Hi.
Lomo just means a good cut of steak like we (Canadians) would say sirloin or t-bone.
Sometimes seasoned with salsa-verde or (green sauce): green pepper, cilantro and garlic ground up with water.
My husband is from Latacunga and we lived in Riobamba for a while.
Julie.
sounds amazing Hi there Bridget, pictures are wonderful. Sounds as if you're having an incredible experience - I don't envy you the boat thing one iota though. Yuk! Looking forward to sharing next part of adventure with you.

Buno Estente.
After 10 years of work we've decided to lay down our tools for a while and head west (and south a bit) to South America. So come with us, friends, on this journey of hope, fear, illumination, and barbecued guinea pig for tea (maybe...)
