Auto Grills - From: Italy - Where Traffic Laws are Mere Suggestions
GQ magazine had a great article awhile back about Auto Grills... apparently they are one of Italy's best-kept secrets. : ) --A

Not a bad idea... - From: Oct 26- Florence Italy
...because that's a great ticket price, and Spain really could be a trip in itself. Then again, I hate to think of you guys missing Spain! : )

Guys, isn't it great? Glad to finally get to your blog - hey I am getting homesick and thirsty for beer! And old towns and Brezeln and all that. Seems you have a phantastic time - wish I could join you for a beer (or a vino in Italy...) Continue to have a wonderful time and I'll make sure I'll check out the blog regularly. China was amazing btw

Venezia - From: 10/1-2 - Venice Italy
There used to be a place called Caffe Poggi on one of the main streets in Venice. I think the name has changed since then, though. I'm writing from Maui now -- we're here for a week for our 7th anniversary. : )

Schloss Schonbrunn - From: 9/24 - Vienna - Castle
We walked up to the Gloriette and had a beer overlooking the grounds. The strangest thing is that we bumped into people we know up there! One of D's coworkers was there with his wife (the guys were attending a conference in Vienna)... so we shared our table with them and had a nice time. : )

I didn't like the Sacher Torte, either. Too dry, not chocolatey enough! The Mozart coffee, however, was great (coffee + liquer!). For a better dessert, try the kaiserschmarren at Cafe Diglas. Yum. Or the gelato I mentioned before. : )

Vienna - From: Last night Vienna
Didn't realize you'd get to Vienna so soon! We loved it. Go to Zanoni & Zanoni for gelato... mmm. We enjoyed the city - you really can't go wrong. Only wish we could've spent more time outside the city, too, @ smaller towns and villages, the wine-growing regions, etc.

Hi guys! - From: Plzen, CZ - 9/17-9/18
Hi there. I've been reading all your entries and keep meaning to comment. I visited the 2nd largest synagogue in Budapest when D and I were in Vienna (I did a side/day trip to Budapest on my own). Looks like you're having a blast! --A&D

- From: Germany - Random Thoughts
Us Germans are the most idiotic people when it comes to water. The mineral water lobby has tought the german people to drink their rediciously expensive bottled water while tab water is perfectly drinkable in germany. It is a lack of service and culture that you dont get free water along your coffee. Even for public toilets you have to pay in our country. so foolish.
