Hi All :) Well, it's been a while, but we've been working our asses off leaving little time for internet! So, what have we been doing you might ask? Somehow, luckily, I landed a job photographing for IKEA at an exhibition/festival/carnival in Brisbane the day after we arrived. Then, they picked Gary up for some graphic design. We worked 10 grueling days and in the end walked away with a giant chunk of money to head traveling with. EXCELLENT. Hi all! So we packed up and had a little goodbye BBQ... what a blast... in the Mt. with the flatmates! It was great. We then headed to Auckland with a co-worker from Tay Street... Mel drove us and Pam picked us up! Saw wonderful bands Saturday night and enjoyed the music. We enjoyed our time out and Sunday went to the food show (fun!) and then we surprised Gary with Cirque Du Soleil! It was absolutely amazing. Monday night we went to a session in Mt. HI ALL!!! Well... not much new since the last time, but there are a few photos to post. Gary and I went to see a very good reggae band called Katchafire... fun :) We also went to a party with Catherine and Eduardo... I won the limbo contest! There are some shots of Matey on the beach... Hi all! I know it's been a while, but we've been so busy working! So, here's the update. We came to a place called the Bay of Plenty... which is north in the North island... for a couple reasons: 1) it's warmer 2) it's known for Kiwi picking work and we thought it easier to find a job 3) it's warmer So, we arrived to Mt. Well! After Wellington, Pam, Gary and I decided to head a little north to a place called Paraparaumu... Some call it just that (as you see), some call it Parapram, some call it just Pram. In any case, it was a VERY interesting little place. The hostel we stayed at was full of VERY colorful people who were really outgoing and friendly. The owners gave us a really good deal on a double so, after sleeping in windy wellington in our van for so long, we treated ourselves to a few nights there. Hi all! So, we finally left the south island only to arrive to sweet, but windy, wellington. It's a wonderful city and we've been here for 1.5 weeks lookin' for work (hard to find), but still enjoying ourselves. Hey all! So, we took a trip farther down south. We stayed in beautiful Wanaka for a couple days and then moved to busy Queenstown. one panoramic for ya... We managed there for a few days and then moved on... BUT... while we were there, we jumped out of a plane! yay! Skydiving was, singlehandedly, the scariest moment of my life.. powerless. As Gary put it... why would I jump out of a perfectly good place, at 12,000 feet, while strapped to a man who decided it was a good idea if HE wore the parachute? Yeah. [View Full Entry]

THERE ARE 2 VIDEOS IN THIS BLOG! ENJOY! After Nelson we decided to head up towards Abel Tasman National Park... We went to Montueka and spent a cool weekend there... met a couple of really nice people (and a couple not so really nice) at the hostel where we just parked the van and slept in it... We prepared our stuff and decided to head into the park for a 5 day treck. Oooooo it was cool... 2 days of kayaking, 3 days of hiking... brilliant. Ah ... nice area... sweet little mountain towns.
