Hey all! Well... what a different world we are in now and we both absolutely love it. Get ready for a LOT of rambling! We spent, as you know, our last day in Sydney and headed to the airport to fly overnight to Bangkok. We arrived in the midst of a huge storm and so it was great that we had arranged a couch surf prior to our arrival... a cool girl called Jen, teacher in Bangkok and from the states. So again... a bit behind on the blog. We did another relocation vehicle (a monster!) from Alice Springs down to Adelaide to visit Andrew (you might remember him... I met him in Italy 4 years ago and he came to visit in the states 3 years ago). So, we had a blast driving the monster... complete with a shower, toilet, fridge, microwave, AC, full kitchen and queen sized bed! Awesome. We arrived to Andrew and John and couldn't have been more welcomed. They were the best hosts ever. We've been here for 2 weeks and it's been absolutely amazing... great food, [View Full Entry]

Absolutely the most amazing experience yet. We took an outback desert tour with our wonderful guide, Sean. He taught us so much about the flora and fauna, the Aboriginal people, their history and their land. The people on our tour were just amazing and it was such a blast. Hi all! Well... what a time we've been having. For starters, we were able to land ourselves what's called a relocation vehicle. This means, a company needs a vehicle brought from point A to B and they only charge us $5 per day for rental and give us 2/3 of the petrol money back as well. We landed ourselves a Britz 4wd campervan and left Cairns to head the 2500k to Alice Springs which is in the center of the Outback desert. It's been quite the adventure leaving Brisbane. You can see a few pictures from our last days there before heading north to Cairns. A couple of the first pictures got a little out of order, but that will give you a little taste of the album! We flew up there as it was the quickest/cheapest option! We arrived to a wonderful hostel (you can see the sweet pictures) and just made ourselves at home in the tent. Hi All :) Well, it's been a while, but we've been working our asses off leaving little time for internet! So, what have we been doing you might ask? Somehow, luckily, I landed a job photographing for IKEA at an exhibition/festival/carnival in Brisbane the day after we arrived. Then, they picked Gary up for some graphic design. We worked 10 grueling days and in the end walked away with a giant chunk of money to head traveling with. EXCELLENT. Hi all! So we packed up and had a little goodbye BBQ... what a blast... in the Mt. with the flatmates! It was great. We then headed to Auckland with a co-worker from Tay Street... Mel drove us and Pam picked us up! Saw wonderful bands Saturday night and enjoyed the music. We enjoyed our time out and Sunday went to the food show (fun!) and then we surprised Gary with Cirque Du Soleil! It was absolutely amazing. Monday night we went to a session in Mt. HI ALL!!! Well... not much new since the last time, but there are a few photos to post. Gary and I went to see a very good reggae band called Katchafire... fun :) We also went to a party with Catherine and Eduardo... I won the limbo contest! There are some shots of Matey on the beach...
