The Indian Pacific train travels the width of Australia from Sydney on the west coast all the way to Perth on the east coast 4352km it takes 3 days but luckily for me I was only going as far as Adelaide which is a short 24 hour trip.I was traveling in the Red class Daynighter seats which basically means you get a reclining seat to sit http://www.travelblog.org/Oceania/Australia/New-South-Wales/Broken-Hill/blog-328759.html Heading to the Outback Only two more days before I leave Sydney and head off to explore the rest of AustraliaI can't believe that I have been in Sydney for nearly four months the time has just flown by. Typically just as I am leaving it is starting to feel like home. As sad as I am to leave Sydney I am really exciting about going to the west coast and once I have completed my trip I can come back and spend summer in http://www.travelblog.org/Oceania/Australia/New-South-Wales/Sydney/blog-327256.html 30th Birthday Once again I apologise for not updating my blog more regularly. It always seems like there is something better to do especially now the weather is sunny. So this morning I made myself sit down for half an hour and write an entry updating you on how I spent my Birthday. I also want to thank you all for all the lovely Birthday cards that you sent to me. I took them to the Blue Mountains with me and http://www.travelblog.org/Oceania/Australia/New-South-Wales/Katoomba/blog-322540.html Skiing in Australia Yes in the land of sun and surf you can also go skiing. My commute to work is now a gentle 20 minute walk across the Pyrmo http://www.travelblog.org/Oceania/Australia/New-South-Wales/Sydney/blog-298953.html Sunny Sydney I am so sorry for taking so long between posts. It amazing how much you can find to fill your time in Sydney even when you don't have a job. If I have already told some of you this I apologize for that too.I guess I should update you all with what I have been up to since I arrived in Sydney. First the fun stuff in an effort to get some exercise I have been taking rollerblading lessons So far I http://www.travelblog.org/Oceania/Australia/New-South-Wales/Sydney/blog-293055.html Hello from Wet and Windy Sydney Well I have made it to Sydney. It was a bit of a shock stepping out of Sydney airport as it is wet and windy here. I never thought I would say this but I am really missing Thailand where it was 34 degrees. Oh well it is winter and although it is wet and windy it is still 16 degrees which is alot better than our winters at home roll on September when it will start to get warmer. As I arrived at 7am http://www.travelblog.org/Oceania/Australia/New-South-Wales/Sydney/blog-287547.html Chiang Mai Greating from hot and humid ThailandWell I made it to Thailand without any mishaps. All my worries about Thai people being unfriendly were completely unnecessary. As you come through immigration at Bangkok airport the signs welcome you to the land of smiles and it is true everyone here is so happy and smiles all the time. I think us Brits need to learn a lesson from the Thais and try smiling mor http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/Thailand/North-West-Thailand/Chiang-Mai/blog-282419.html
