So we finally left Brisbane and we were heading for Surfer’s Paradise, but I have to say since Noosa the weather has been getting progressively worse (I know its Australian winter, but I don’t want it to get cold). We arrived in Brisbane on Saturday, late afternoon and found a spot to park around the back of a hostel where Mark & Mark, 2 Irish guys we met in cairns were staying. Well we stayed in a Hervey Bay for 4 nights, we really wanted to go to Fraser Island, which is the biggest sand island in the world, but it was pretty expensive and we also really want to learn to surf, so we decided that the surfing would be much more fun. Airlie Beach - Mackay - Agnes Water - Town of 1770 - Bundaberg - Hervey Bay We decided to leave Airlie Beach on Thursday 24th May, the same day we went on the boat trip to the Whitsunday Islands. We showered; did I mention we’d been sneaking into a hostel to use their showers? We arrived in Townsville and decided to do a bit of food shopping, only to discover that the fridge in the van wasn't working!!! It was making the wurring noise, but wasn't cold....Great, could anything else go wrong, and of course it was sunday, so the place where we hired it from was closed. You’ve guessed it I’m still in Cairns and still enjoying the sunshine and partying, but progress has been made and me & Nicole have taken the plunge and booked our campervan for tomorrow to start the road trip. I’m going to miss this place as I’ve met some fantastic people, but I have to get moving! On Monday a few of us from the Hostel went on a snorkelling and diving trip out to the Great Barrier Reef. I'm here in Oz, and guess what I slept most of the way. Wasn't happy though, as we stopped at Darwin and we had to get off the flight go through security then get back on the flight!! I mean how stupid, why couldn't they just let those off that were getting off and leave us be! Well I'm here in Singapore. Took a train this time, which was pretty comfortable as I travelled first class. Well it was only a couple of pound more than 2nd class, so why not! Slight problem though!!! Didn't realise until I was already on the train that I had forgotten to print the email with my hostel details in Singapore....oops! So I arrived into Singapore thinking, no worries, there'll be an internet cafe in the station. Well Once again I am on a bus, this time from Krabi to Kuala Lumpur. Spent the first 4 hours on a minibus, which wasn't too bad. I plugged myself into my ipod and snoozed most of the way. I tell you the way I am going I'll be able to sleep on a washing line when I get back. So anyway, the minibus took me to Hat Yai where I changed to a coach that takes me over the border into Malaysia and onto Kuala Lumpur.
