The Martimes were spectacular. We made it to Newfoundland are now on our return trip. As for full blogs they have been put on hold but I WILL POST LITTLE BLURBS. Love you lots and hope you are having a great summer.cheersJeannie Alex http://www.travelblog.org/North-America/Canada/blog-311244.html Quebec city is beautiful From Vald'Or we continued on to Mont Tremblant where we camped the night. We had a blast the next day up on the mountain on the luge track. The track twists and turns for almost 2kms as it winds it way down the mountain. We did 3 runs and had a blast racing each other all the way avoiding people and obstacles. A must do Next we were off to Quebec city arriving late in the evening we stopped http://www.travelblog.org/North-America/Canada/Quebec/blog-306305.html Bonjour BonjourWe have arrived in Quebec. Lets back up a few days though first. We left my sisterrsquos comforts of home and headed east into Ontario spending our first night in Dryden. We took the high road through northern Ontario stopping at Kakabeka Falls just before Thunder Bay. They were spectacular with a scenic hike around the area. The thing most noticeable about Ontario is all the bea http://www.travelblog.org/North-America/Canada/Ontario/blog-305762.html Alberta and beyond As we entered into Alberta we were surrounded by mountains that slowly gave way to foothills and big open fields with canola flowers. Seas of bright yellow spread for miles Just before that though we stopped at Lake Louise and got the classic shot of us at the lake that was surrounded with more tourists than one could imagine just to look at a blue lake. It was beautiful don't get me wrong. http://www.travelblog.org/North-America/Canada/Alberta/blog-302350.html Into the Wild I finally got out of vancouver late on friday arriving in 100 Mile House later that evening. The canyon was breathtaking to view during my evening drive and super hot in around Lytton even though it was late. Very little traffic as well made it even more enjoyable. It was so sweet seeing Alex at Educocamp and all his adventures from the week provided many hours of conversation. Thanks to fam http://www.travelblog.org/North-America/Canada/British-Columbia/Golden/blog-299452.html Getting out of Dodge Soon Well another couple of hours and I am out of here I am looking forward to seeing Alex tomorrow at Educo. I am sure he will have a million stories to tell about his grand adventures at camp. I can hardly wait to hear them all. Vancouver is a great city on the westcoast of Canada and is our departure point for our summer adventure across Canada. So watch for more blogs and have a great summer http://www.travelblog.org/North-America/Canada/British-Columbia/Vancouver/blog-298539.html Convent Living My journey has brought me to HOME OF HOPE in Kochi where I am living in a convent with nine sisters and about 40 girls as some have left during summer break. I am volunteering for the week of which now I wish was longer. The sisters are fantastic Full of energy widom and many fun jokes. I love them. The children have filled my heart and I already want to take them all with me and be their m http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/India/Kerala/Angamaly/blog-150589.html Delhi Delights Where do I begin Well first off I now have pictures. Lots of them So this blog will be about them. The one thing I need to remind myself constantly is many things that are considered rude at home are normal here and vice versa. For example picking your nose staring urinating anywhere is fine standing so close in lines you touching spitting everywhere budging in line if you do leave a space http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/India/National-Capital-Territory/New-Delhi/blog-149507.html Adventures in Delhi We have been in Delhi since April 4th and it has been and adventure. We went on a city tour with Panicker Travels and it was great. We saw lots of points of interest in the city. My favorite was the Lotus Temple. We also took a tour to Agra to see the Taj Mahal and yes it is beautiful and probably one of the most visited sites in India. That being said prepare yourself to being mobbed by agr http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/India/National-Capital-Territory/New-Delhi/blog-146410.html Thunder Lightening Last night in Varkala we had the best thunder and lightening storm ever. It lasted for hours with big bolts of lightening and loud cracks of thunder and a very refreshing heavy downpour of rain For the first time in 3 weeks I have felt cool. Hooray It has been sweltering hot around 3840 degrees with the evenings cooling to about 33 Humidity is high as we are right next to the water. So why ha http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/India/Kerala/Varkala/blog-144297.html Slice of paradise Today we arrived in Varkala by train from Kanyakumari and it was very scenic winding through the countryside and small villages. I went cheap66 Rupees 2Can since it was a short trip only 4hrs and went with the locals which at times was a little squishy. I still had a good time though. It was fun at each stop how the vendors came aboard and sold food and snacks and hot drinks which were very http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/India/Kerala/Varkala/blog-142144.html Southern Charm Pictures Southern Charm PicturesnbspAsia raquonbspIndia raquonbspTamil Nadu raquonbspKanyakumari By Jeannie s piece of mindMarch 24th 2007JeannieWell we have reached the southern tip and it has been quite the journey to this sacred point. Raman our driver has been phenominal. We have visited every temple and point of interest along the way which has been numerous. In Pondicherry we visited the temple and were each blessed by the Puja man and an elephant. So on that note were are but two marbles of many and we are rolling out tomorrow to travel south. We have hired a driver who will be with us for 7 days taking us from Chennai to Kanniyakurmari the southern most tip. Along the way we will see all the temples and main sights of interest. The horns were honking and the city was pulsing early this morning. I am surprised how many taxisrickshaws there are. People everywhere As we rode from the airport to our hotel last night I could see people sleeping on the sidewalk dogs wandering and others still up pedalling their wares. Our taxi http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/India/Tamil-Nadu/Chennai/blog-137692.html Flying never felt so good Singapore airlines knows how to treat its customers so well. At checkin they took care of our bags so we didn't have to worry about them during our lay over. Then later when we boarded our flight they welcome you with hot face cloths after everyone is seated. Such a treat They served us the entire flight with food and beverages you name it we were treated like first class only with out the p http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/Singapore/blog-137342.html Three more days Well our bags are packed and in three days we will be off to India. It feels like I am on a train moving forward and things are clicking together and soon I will be spit out at the airport to board my flight. Who knew the time would go by so fast. I am super excited and keep pinching myself to be sure this is real. I love you all and my next blog will be from Chennai India. http://www.travelblog.org/North-America/Canada/British-Columbia/Vancouver/blog-136030.html Counting down the days The days are getting closer and closer to my long awaited journey to India. I have been excited for so long and now I feel a tad nervous. I have read many books and blogs about India. Ranging from amazing to Oh My God I even found a great website with tons of good info including the procedures for the left hand if you know what I mean. Even though I live in the warmest most beautiful city http://www.travelblog.org/North-America/Canada/British-Columbia/Vancouver/blog-126203.html
