Joe Stewart Here I go again! This time I'm headed West. Going through the HOT Dusty and Beautiful Desserts of Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and California, ending up on the Sunny beaches of California, that's where I will sit back and wonder if I will return or not. It's going to be a blast, I look forward to all of the comments from you all.

Last night I visited a place where my father would take me after we would finish work. The Original Pantry Cafe, where the pancakes were so big they would be larger than the plates that they would serve them on, all or the servings were made for lumber jacks and people with large stomach's "watch it!!!" I sat down at the same counter as I did when I was just a boy, looking around, just to see that nothing had changed. There was no menu, just the specials posted on the wall looking like they had been there for the 85 [View Full Entry]

First I would like to thank the Grier family for today's internet access. The library here in long beach dosen't open until 12pm. I spent another day at my friend's Shep's house, where his wife kept trying to stuff food down my mouth all day. We spent the evening at his son's house where they made Carne Asada Taco's., OMG!!! Everything was freshly made and cooked to perfection, this was my best meal of the whole trip. It was a great evening, we sat out on the patio drinking beer and speaking Spanish to each other, there was just a little [View Full Entry]

Today I took a trip to visit my old navy buddy and his family, he lives just north of the border of Mexico and the united states, I know what you're all thinking ( Great Mexican Food !!! ) So I decided to drive down along the coast, but sorry to say, there was such an overcast this morning that I didn't get many of the beautiful beach scenes that I wanted. I did however make a stop at an overlook and found thousands af these little squirrels eating out of the hands to people stupid enough to hand feed them, [View Full Entry]

Drama in the Desert Warning, This Blog contains Graphical elements that will make you scream, hyperventilate, climb on objects and just plain freak out, well at least that’s what Brenda did. After taking in the sights and sounds of uptown Sedona and surrounding areas allday, we were in for the night, had a nice healthy dinner and got to bed early for the long drive back to Cali. Sleeping good, I was awaken by strange sounds coming from Brenda's side of the cottage, after ignoring the calls of my name several times, which I'm good at (ask Jean) I was totally [View Full Entry]

After a Uneventful Night, Yeah Right! 4am cam way too early for me, Brenda wanted to go watch the Hot Air balloons glide among the red rocks of Sedona, just like in the beautifully packaged brochures. After checking around, we were told that the best place to view the balloons would be at the airport, the bad news was that they take off around 5am with the sunrise. Since everything we owned was already packed in the truck (poor Jerry ) it wasn't long before we were headed out to the airport, once there we were astonished to see about fifty [View Full Entry]

Yesterday, I decided to drive up the coast and check out the beautiful scenes of the California beaches and here are a few of the scenes that I captured. It was a Ugly day as you will see, the weather was horrible, so for those of you that had to work, you would have rather stayed there than to come out in these conditions, I don't know how I stayed out there so long myself, I guess I'm just dedicated. ;-) I would love to tell you more, but my battery is about to die!!! Later!!! [View Full Entry]

Today we just spent the day driving around Sedona trying to blend in as tourists. The weather is beautiful and I'm trying not to do too much today because of the long drive I have scheduled tomorrow. The pictures that was taken today were in the area of Sedona. If you ever want to get totally away from city life, this is the place to be, this time of year seems the be the best, not too hot, not too cold. Side note, if you bring a navigator along (brenda) Be sure that they can read a map! [View Full Entry]

Arrived at the Grand Canyon only to find out the my sister found her way there before me and was waiting there at the sign. It turned out that she came in handy to help cover the $25 entrance fee to get into the park. I took hundreds of pictures, but only posted a few, I don't plan on spending all of my vacation editing images. Another great location that we are staying at is Sedona Arizona, one word to desribe this place BEAUTIFUL!!! [View Full Entry]

Ok, Leaving the rain behind us, we headed into to sunny state of Utah, Yes Utah, you'll see why in a minute. After a few more wrong turns, we started to see what I came here for, those beautiful rocks! I didn't have an official tour guide, so I decided to name some of the structures myself. If anyone wants to know the location of Brenda, you can find her somewhere along Hwy 191 [View Full Entry]
