25 countries in 185 days ... what a ride.
From the wet and rugged summer in the UK and Ireland to the beautiful sandy beaches along the Mediterranean, there was never a dull moment. We experienced everything from the most renowned cities in the world to tiny villages and landscapes virtually untouched by tourism and it's hard to say which we enjoyed more.
Along the way we travelled by train, bus, plane, foot, thumb, taxi & bicycle. We pride ourselves on the fact that we had no plans whatsoever other than our first few nights in Dublin after we landed. There were times we planned on staying at a place for 2 days and ended up staying a week. This flexibility allowed us to explore unexpectedly fantastic places such as Bude (England) Bled (Slovenia) & Tirana (Albania).
Few people get a chance to do an epic trip like this so we never took the opportunity for granted. We have learned so much from the people we met along the way and now have a lifetime of memories of the 6 months we spent tramping around Europe.
