Hey everyone! I will have to make this one a bit fast, I am on a time limit and this damnable camera is giving me trouble, as usual. So we are now in London, England, and have gotten an insane amount of stuff done in a short amount of time. We got here last night from Stratford-Upon-Avon (after seeing Shakespeare's grave, OMG), and had to take the London Underground to get to our hostel - which is by far the most intimidating place I have ever been. There were people everywhere and it was quite scary. Our hostel was also scary, [View Full Entry]

Yeah.... im in London..... I just thought I would start with that. I cannoit even believe that I am here. Really doesnt seem like it can be possible. London is so huge, i cont beleive it. It is like nothing that I have ever seen before, and i think that the enormity of this trip has just now hit me....   Jackie and I left the Library in Stratford and made our way down to the church where shakespeare was buried. When we got there, we were unfortunetly told that there was a wedding going on and we would not be [View Full Entry]

Good Morrow!!!!!!! So, here we are in beautiful Stratford upon Avon, where we just left Shakespeare's birthplace...... how cool is that, i ask you. Anyway last you heard from me we were in Liverpool. After we left Liverpool, we went to bath. Here we decided to go and see the Roman Baths. We took the scenic route, which was actually another like 10 minutes added to our walk, but was well worth it. Mum, you would have been running all over the place, it was just beautiful. Anyway, we got to where the Baths were, but before we went in, we [View Full Entry]

Hello all! We have had a very busy few days - we left Liverpool right after I wrote last and took a train to Bath, where we had an absolutely fabulous dinner right outside the Roman Baths - it was great because there was a guy with a flute serenading us and we had a nice juicy hamburger, mmmmmmm.... We sat around and watched the birds for a while and then we went into the Roman Baths. It was very cool, they gave us these things called Audioguides which are basically just like little telephones that you take around with you [View Full Entry]

Here we are, Bonnie Scotland far behind us, now situated in Jolly Old England. Liverpool to be exact. Very nice place, we found that the best word to describe it is 'bustling.' Well, when we last left off, we were still in Scotland, so I will venture back a ways to finish off our scottish experiance. After the very rainy 3rd of July, we strated out in search of a bus that would take us to Edinburg Castle. We had only seen it from afar, and as it says on the back of every tour bus in the city, 'you havnt [View Full Entry]

We are now in Liverpool at the library, where we got free internet access! Woo! Liverpool is a crazy city, but it's interesting and a lot of fun. Today we got up early and went for a walk to this gigantic cathedral - I guess it is the biggest one of its type in the world - and went inside to check it out and take pictures. And let me tell you, it was bloody MASSIVE. I have honestly never seen a building that big that wasn't a skyscraper or something... We wandered around in there and made a donation (even [View Full Entry]

And here we are, in lovely Edinburgh. Unfortunetly, we still have yet to see lovely Edinburgh in the light of day, as due to complications with our alarm clock yesterday, circumstances arose which made us unable to take and early train ride here. We arrived in the city at around 12:00 last night, and then had to wait about 20 minutes for a taxi... THe city was really pretty in the dakr, so I would imagine that it will be even prettier when I can see everything. The last few days have been crazy. We have done so much in the [View Full Entry]

Greetings from bonnie Scotland!!! We have had a crazy couple of days, although it has been a blast. After I wrote last we ordered some traditional fish and chips for supper and went to bed - I have NEVER been that tired. We went to bed at like 7:30. Worse than mom!!! :) The next morning we ate the rest of our fries for breakfast and sat with a very friendly Swiss guy who asked "do Canadians always eat chips for breakfast?" Yeah, it was funny. After that, we check out of our castle and took a very crazy cab ride [View Full Entry]

All I can say is HOLY CRAP!!!! I cant believe we are finally here. It took bloody well long enough (look the language is seeping through already!) anyway, the plan is that Jackie and I will both be writing on this, about the same stuff so dont be surprised if lots of the journals are similar due to the fact that we share a brain. Back to the Europe thing. Well, we are outside of Glasgow in this wicked awesome castle which in actuallity is probably older than most of our country. To sum up how I am feeling right now..... Whew... Europe » United Kingdom » Scotland » Glasgow
Well, we made it over the big blue ocean. The airplane was okay, there was a whole bunch of turbulance so by time we reached 41000 ft I was feeling pretty much done in. The food was "chicken" stir fry - in quotations because thats what they were calling it, but one could argue that it was not really chicken... Customs at the airport took forever, but we finally made it out and took a bus into Glasgow, the whole time I was repressing the urge to run to the bus driver and yell "You're on the wrong side of the [View Full Entry]
