Sigh, it is our last night in lovely Paris. We are sad. :( So last night I set my alarm for about 7:30, because we wanted to get up early to avoid the crazy tourist crowds. It went off, and I tried to get Sarah up, but she was like "5 more minutes". Okay. So 5 minutes later I tried to wake her up again and she was like "15 more minutes". So I snoozed for a bit, then at around 8:30 I tried her again. "Lets just sleep till 9". Well, when we finally stumbled into the light of day it was about 10:30. Hmm... [View Full Entry]

I have returned! So, once again I will apologise for the cut off on the last entry, stupid fascist computer... trying to stop me from expressing myself.... Anyway, today was a very good day, except the whole part where I had to get up at 7:30. Early mornings should be abolished... (if and when I rule the world... the first thing to go...) So we woke up today, and got dressed and such. I am so in love with our hostel this time! It is just so quaint. Another bonus is that it is clean, which, I actually came to realise [View Full Entry]

So far Paris is the greatest city ever. The people are SO nice (partly because of Sarah's ample bosom I think, but hey, at least they are civil), there is so much to see and do and there is a very relaxing mood about the place that makes you feel like just sitting and chilling out, preferably while eating my new favourite dessert, strawberry tartelettes YUM. Today we woke up quite early, to the chagrin of Sarah, and took the Métro to the Louvre. We stayed there for about 5 hours or so and admired all the art. I'm not much [View Full Entry]

Okay, it's me again, but this time I have a longer time to figure out this ridiculous keyboard - every letter is in the wrong place and it took me forever to find the @ sign. Yeesh. So last we wrote we were still in London, staying at that godforsaken hostel. I need to vent about it, so here are all the horrible things in point form: Our beds looked like they were picked up at a garage sale, 1/2 price; they were squeaky and uncomfortable and the top bunks didnt have railings so Sarah damn near rolled right off the [View Full Entry]

Hey all! Sorry for the delay in updating, but we have just been so busy, what with plays, trains and towers, and other such business. Before I stqrt I would like to warn everyone that if this is full of spelling mistakes, it is not cuz im dumb, its because keyboards in frace are arranged differently and so i may press something without meaning to. Like the a is where the q should be and vice versa....wierd Now, to the events of the pqst while. Last we left off, we were on our way to see Les Miserables. OH MY GOD!!!!! [View Full Entry]

Sarah is already well in the midst of writing her journal on these godforsaken keyboards, she has much more patience than I, so instead I will just say that we are now in lovely Paris, so far my favorite city (although they were all great!), last night was the Bastille Day celebration, so we saw an amazing display of fireworks over the beautiful Eiffel Tower. Today we are planning on going to Montmartre and seeing Sacré Coeur and the Moulin Rouge, among other things, YAY!!! So until I find a proper keyboard, here are some more photos! Enjoy! Good day to all! I will make this a very quick update, but you also get pictures this time! Yay! So yesterday was fun, we spent the morning at the Runnymede Memorial in Egham, where we very easily found our great Uncle Donald's name and took a pile of photos. The place is very beautiful and peaceful, and we had a nice time there. We then took a train to Salisbury, and a bus to Stonehenge, which was absolutely awesome. I was blown away by how cool it was to be there and see these stones that were 5000 years old and [View Full Entry]

Here we are, still in London, and still in the Hostel from hell. We are very happy however, that we will be leaving it tomorrow. Thank God. Anyway, well, last we left off we had gotten back from a very productive day. Anotherone awaited us the next day, as we went down to the city. We got a glimpse of the tower of london, which we will be inspecting with greater interest today. After that we went to the globe theater... and .... thats right, we sawe MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING!!!!!! wow.... it was the greatest play... serioulsy, it was hilarious. [View Full Entry]

We had a fabulous day today in lovely London. We woke up quite early (once again... you can imagine how Sarah likes that) and had our so-called "breakfast" here at the hostel which consisted of 2 pieces of dry toast, wow, thanks. We hopped back on the London Underground ("mind the gap.... mind the gap....") and took the train to central London where we checked out the Tower of London and the Tower Bridge, very very cool. We couldn't go in because we are a bit skant for cash (see how I use British terminology) but we looked at them from the outside, and [View Full Entry]
