KARUCO Groundbreaking - October 2012

a trip by Jan B. Hansen
From: October 8th 2012
Until: October 16th 2012

After much hard work, partners of KARUCO were privileged to see the dream start to become reality. It had been a decade since KARUCO founder, Dr. Benson Bagonza had first initiated the idea of Karagwe University College and six years since the ELCT formally approved the idea. But on October 11, 2012 several hundred participants including a dozen dignitaries gathered at the KARUCO site in Karagwe to celebrate the groundbreaking for the district's first college. A tour of Tower Point to see the 1,000 acre campus landscape, a worship service to dedicate KARUCO, music, celebration, speeches, gifts, more speeches, a feast and lots of music and celebration highlighted the day. And what a day it was!
