We were there just last month in March of 2009 and it wasn't all that great. The staff at the RIu was wonderful. The problems with the RIU was that it is so far away from anywhere else that it is terrible. I guess that I may have got spoiled being in places like the Turks and Caicos Islands Guyana and Aruba where we could just walk outside of our hot http://www.travelblog.org/Central-America-Caribbean/Dominican-Republic/Bavaro/Jarabacoa/blog-389715.html Turks and Caicos Islands We just got back from Providenciales Turks and Caicos Islands. The total time that we were there was eleven days and we had a great time Here's how it is. It is a very clean and quiet island. The two main roads are Grace Bay Road which is where the vast majority of touristy things are and Leeward Highway. The latter is a very busy highway with very little to no sidewalk to walk on w http://www.travelblog.org/Central-America-Caribbean/Turks-and-Caicos/Providenciales/blog-350420.html One Week In Nassau In August of 2008 we spent one week in Nassau. The hotel that we stayed at was the Wyndham Crystal Palace Hotel and Casino which is right next door to the Sheraton in the Cable Beach area of Nassau. The resort was just fine except for the very small and shallow water beach. The swimming pool was large and came equipped with an attended waterslide. There is a large casino on property with a http://www.travelblog.org/Central-America-Caribbean/Bahamas/Nassau/Bahamas/blog-336153.html CondadoHoliday Inn Express We spent one week on the Condado district of San Juan Puerto Rico and really enjoyed it. There are really no surprises when going to Puerto Rico as in culture. Everything that on the mainland of the US is also in Puerto Rico plus. You name it it's in Puerto Rico from Chili's Restaurants Chicago Uno Pizzeria casinos huge shopping malls WalMart Target Barnes and Noble. It's all there http://www.travelblog.org/Central-America-Caribbean/Puerto-Rico/San-Juan/blog-244777.html Vacation In Guyana Last month we just got back from Georgetown Guyana. The vacation that we had there was very interesting. The Guyanese people were very friendly before we left we had heard that Georgetown was dangerous we did not experience any problems. The hotel that we stayed at for one week was the Le Meridien Pegasus which is a division of Starwood Hotels Sheraton. It is a beautiful hotel tha http://www.travelblog.org/South-America/Guyana/Georgetown/blog-243453.html Guyana Georgetown Guyana we are going there on vacation in December for about ten days.
