Since arriving in Fiji 3 days ago all we have really done is relax and enjoy the stunning scenery. The flight in was uneventful albeit with a little turbulence. Our first night was spent driving (or driven) to the resort by a friendly chatty driver. the road conditions were awful made worst by the heavy rain and strong winds. We were told that it would remain this way for the duration of our stay. The next morning was windy and damp but the sun came through in the afternoon and we enjoyed a massage on the beach from four Fijian ladies. [View Full Entry]

Firstly let us apologise in the delay in writing this blog. We only had 13 days in New Zealand so we had to make every second count! We flew into Queenstown on 24th May through a medly of snow capped mountains and lakes before touching down and stepping out into the freezing cold of the South Island. After picking up our Jucy Camper van our first point of calll was the New Zealand equivelant of Primark to buy some much needed gloves and jumpers and an extra Duvet. We also bought a CSI New York box set to keep us entertained [View Full Entry]

We have decided that since this is our last blog of Australia we should start it slightly different to the previous three (which all began so similar). Sydney was nice......Melbourne is nice..........Route in between was nice. ..............Ok we will elaborate a little more. Sydney was better than we had expected. We had both been before and like the place but were unsure about returning to such a big city with the Van and only spending a couple of days. When we arrived we headed to a small camp ground only 10km north of the city centre and only a 30 min [View Full Entry]

Funnel Web (or so we think)

Since our last blog we have once again done so much and seen so much. We shall start with something we forgot to mention last time.....we have a new Van. After numerous break downs and subsequent phone calls to the hire company James gave them a list of all the faults and told them we will bring the van direct to them in Cairns. Upon arrival we were soon given an upgrade. We have named the van Doris the 2nd. Our first stop after Airlie beach was Noosa. We were unsure as to whether we should visit as we were told [View Full Entry]

By the way.....we hired an underwater camera!
Since we did the last blog in Cairns, we have once again done so so much. It is so beautiful around here and the weather is hot and humid. We shall start with our reef trip. Now you cannot come all the way to Australia without doing a reef trip as it is probably one of the best things we have done so far. We decided to go for a fast boat, which gets you to the reef quickly , giving more time to see the Reef. We also had the choice of Snorkelling and or Scuba diving and we chose [View Full Entry]

Since our last blog a lot has happened in such a short time. We shall endevour to address all without boring you with the small details. We shall start with our exit from Alice Springs.......We headed out of Alice and headed North staying on the Stuart Highway. This was pretty much straight road all the way with very similar scenery untill we reached the Devils Marbles ( near Tennant Creek). These were giant Boulders stacked on top of eachother or cracking open. They were literally in the middle of nowhere. From here we went to Tennant Creek for a brief overnight [View Full Entry]

After Adelaide, we made our way to the Barossa Valley where our frst stop was at the Jacob Creek Vineyard and Visitor Centre. Here we learnt about the history of the Barossa Valley, we would have sampled some wine, but we refused to pay such a high price to taste it when we had to spit it out! The next morning we headed up to Peter Lehman's Vineyard, where the annual Rolls Royce and Bentley meeting was being held. Although it was meant for members only (Doris did not qualify!) a steward advised us to pretend that we were the BBC, [View Full Entry]

Firstly we would like to apologise for the amount of time it has taken to create a new blog, but i'm sure you are all very patient people and don't mind the wait! We have done a lot in the last 2 weeks so we will put it all in this blog to save time. After a 6 hour flight with no sleep we arrived in Melbourne to be greeted by Adam (2nd Cousin). We were taken back to his house where we met Hanna, Rob and Emma and of course Angel the hyperactive dog! After a much needed sleep and [View Full Entry]

We arrived in Singapore at 19.20 and were out the airport by 20.00 - really quick. The hostel we had booked at told us the best way to get to them would be by MRT, and there was a station in the airport. An hour later, we had made our way to Sleepy Sams Hostel, where we were to stay for the next two days. The hostel is quite small, but cosy, and our room was separate to the dorms, but with a shared bathroom ( we thought it would be good to prepare us for our campervan!). The next morning [View Full Entry]
